Hey SRF Users
There has been an uprising in the number of spammed posts made by spambots advertising pr0n, goldbuying, bots, cellular devices, penis pills, dating services, etc. etc. etc. over the last several months. It's gotten particularly bad in the past week or so, with several bots spamming 15+ threads at once sometimes. Sick and tired of reading this garbage? ME TOO! Here's how you can help.
DON'T RESPOND TO THEM. If they are the starters of a thread, all that does is bump their post up to the top of the list so that EVERYONE else seens it and has to read it. If you don't respond, it'll gradually move its way to the bottom and even off the page.
DON'T QUOTE THEIR POSTS. Quoting something they've posted in a thread means that not only do i have to delete their post, I also have to edit yours for content. This takes me double the time that simply deleting theirs does, and I have lockings to perform
