Haven't +4 any weapon yet
Haven't +4 any weapon yet
Hi guys, I had a lvl 64+0 that i +3ed but it wouldn't +4 i dont know why, i used like 40 wep elixirs cos i wanted to +4 but ithe damm weapons won't increase and only made +3.
Then the other weapon, glavie lvl 68, i +3 with 3 elixirs, tried to +4, it fail, +3 again in a coupple of tries, +4 failed. The rare thing was that it was very easy to +3 that weapon but it wouldn't go +4.
Is this normal?

Yes, unless your name is Deacon! ><
In the case of the 2nd glavie, then seeing it +3'd easy, you probably did the right thing trying for +4.
Trying a few elixirs too see if the item is lucky or not is a bit like calling someone in poker - you've got to pay if you want to see their cards! The only trouble is that in making +1 -> +3 you don't get as good a measure of the item's luckiness as you'd like due to the large amount of randomness involved.

Might have been easier to use shield elixirs on that!
lol i was thinking the same thing

from +4 its become harder
+4 it's really piece of cake
seriously. once your past +4, you will notice how easy +4 is
+1. I noticed after i +4d a lvl 64 blade i managed to get +4 on 4 garm items and a ring.
But yea its pretty normal to blow 40+ elixers on +4ing a wep, which is how much i blew trying to +4 my sos sword. Though if u ask me u might have better luck on another wep.

w/ or w/o astral?
Lets say i want my final glavie 72 be +7 but i wont use astrals, any possibility? Or i could just make lvl 72 weapons +3/+4 sell them and buy a +7...

you can usually tell if a weapon is going to be difficult or not to get to +5 and beyond...if I can't get from 3 - 4 in 3 tries, that's as far as I go. Throw in the towel...get it back to +3 and sell it. (SOS stuff, see below paragraph) You can be stubborn and buy a bunch of elixirs to make it happen, but you're probably better off to save the cash, sell item to recoup elixir cost, and use it to buy another weap to ++.
Even though each item has its own level of 'lucky' for alchemy and endurability success, you should find a friend that has a good 'lucky' level (i.e. success with +++) - let them take that item for a spin and see what happens. It works well with sos stuff to let someone that's more lucky than you try to +++ it for you. I normally have a lot better success with stones than the ++ so I try to let someone else ++ my stuff and I try to add stones for them

i believe each item has their probabliity of succes rate in + and alchemy. If it keeps failin chance are that the weapon is unlucky.
I +3 my weapon in 1 try. then i waited and +4 it in another try. then i got luck stone and +5 it in a few days.
the blues were all done in 1-2 tries.
but i had a weapon that i spent 20mil tryin to add blue wih no luck and i end up sellin / breakin it
