Over the last few days, I have built 2 PCs. Both of which contained Vista.
I have had absolutely no problems with any software other than ATItool (OCing utility) and Hacked/Cracked programs.
I tested SRO, and I would dare say that it ran better on the Vista system than it did my XP system of the exact same specs.
I feel as though you anti-microsoft lame asses need to give a working OS a chance. I bet 90% of you are just going off of other opinions and not experience, or are basing your opinions on past versions of the OS that Microsoft has released.
I myself just purchased Vista Ultimate for myself and look forward to doing a clean install and starting anew with this wonderful OS.
EDIT: I also tested all my other games with the OS, and all of them worked perfectly with the acception of Cracked games.
I have Windows Vista Ultimate RC1 installed on my system at home. It works *alright* for me, and SRO even installed and DOES run. The problem I have is SRO tends to freeze quite easily, probably because I'm not using a finalized version of Vista.
The main reason I won't upgrade to Vista is because there really are a lot of problems with Vista. Microsoft JUST released the OS, and they are already planning on putting SP1 out there for beta testers towards the end of 2007. Seems pretty early to have so many bugs and security issues that you need a whole new service pack so early after the OS's initial release.
Also with the several different versions of Vista (ultimate, basic, business, whatever else) there's bound to be problems. I won't be upgrading until (if at all) they release SP2 and maybe even a few months after that to make sure that is tested good.
Missing the good times in SRO...
