GG has nothing to do with SRO working ingame for xfire.
It's because there's a new client. Xfire doesn't recognize "silkroad" at this moment. After the new xfire update it will work fine.

Uum, yes, it is because of GG.
When GG is runs, it stops xfire from tracking.

jSRO = Japanese SRO. and iSRO = international SRO.
Xfire works for both since its the same game.
Wonna bet? Xfire doesn't want you to show him the GG files. GG has nothing to do with it. Trust me on this1 pal

You can fix the problem by doing this:
1. Make sure you have exited Xfire.
2. Open your Xfire directory.
3. Open the xfire_games.ini file.
4. Press Ctrl+F to find Silkroad.
5. You should see the entry for Silkroad.
6. Remove these two lines:
PlayingDetectType=ByWindow
ProcessWindowTitle=SRO_Client
7. Save the xfire_games.ini file and close it.
