All you people who says archers suck, i got one thing to say to you all.

Devil Arrow --> 300-400 (350%) - no delay

Anti devil - crits 1/2 times

I can only agree, its a lot about luck though. Glaviers my lvl goes down pretty fast unless they get stuns to keep themself alive.

On the other hand i need my crits to kill them :)

mmmmmmmm no. there is really no arguement for bows. after you use devil arrow/all ur arrow combos and anti devil.....the person is already in ur face smacking you.

Devil arrow is perhaps one of the best skills in the game.

I don't mind letting DJ borrow my bow to zerk a mangyang. (64+7 SOS, 42%, C10)

What happens is he gets a devil arrow crit, and the game only shows "2000" to "4000" damage.

You know thats not right.

My best GUESS is he is exceeding the amount of numbers the game can show (99,999) and hes rolling over 102000 damage.

But we don't really know.... do we. And he cant enter the damage contest with "2000" damage.

I'd like to see ANY SOS+7 glaive do that.

The other classes have more than ONE attribute about them. Archers only have crits.

Glaviers have thier health, and high damage w/crits
Bladers have their blocking and kd
Nukers have their nukes and weapon skills w/thier powerful imbue

Archers could potentially be a good class, but jm didn't make enough diff skills so the class could be "unique" in some way. As of right now, archers suck.


I have nothing against archers, or the build, just the way jm made it unfair as to the balances in the game. They have so much potential, but jm doesn't give them that. :arrow:

If BOW did the same damage and had the same advantages of glaive, it would be godly imbalanced!

High damage and stuns from 18+4m away?

You'd be an IDIOT not go with bow!

People would come here and post "bow is too unfair"

yeah so bows do less dmg, but ghostwalk sorta helps overcome the range. The bow skills are really good though :banghead: I just saw anti-devil in action. But still, my capped archer friend says its tough to beat other strs with bow, but he can beat pure ints... dunno if he can beat a well-built hybrid though :roll: I guess it all depends on equips :)

every class I believe can potentially be the best. At first people were like omfg Fire glaivers ftw. Then there was the blade fire ftw cuz of the constant knockdowns. Now is the hybrid phase, where everyons making hybrids and half of em will screw up and quit.

I'm sure the bows time will come. Btw I think a hybrid bow would be much better since they are mediocre in both. Btw if you have the time and money any class really can be awesome. Screw skill mastery cap.

If anything get like Fire, Lightning, Ice, Bow all to 70 and like 20 into glaive for that lil extra hp bonus. Reuscitation isnt expensive and wtvr, making a class excellent at pvp is all in the users hand and their skill at fighting.

Btw no skill is useless either, they all have their uses in the right hands. So play around. If you wanna try changing bow to shield then bow or change to glaive try out the spin move, fire wall. Don't give up n keep at it bro.

Short sighted. Archers got range, which means they get the first 1-3 attacks :D

Havent you listened? Devil arrow is the highest psy damaging skills in silkroad :)

So i missed the point where archers do low damage.............. Oh yeah i also forgot they have about 22.4m shotrange.

when ur pure int- nukes>all skills, and u can choose between spear[bigger dmg, stun, kb], sword[block,ko,stab], or bow[dun see any good thing for pure int]

things i say come from my own experiences not yours. i never said i can nuke stronger than a spear or sword but i still do high dmg. and i can 1hit mobs my level, its called strongbow but i dont use it for grinding..who does? 3-4 second warmup, no thanks ill leave it for opening pvp move. and i do get kills on giants regularly despite coming into battle late. and i dont lose to str archers in pvp, not yet anyway. i hardly find anyone my lvl jobbing in opposite suit anyway. instead of trying to disprove everything i say, try opening your mind to someone elses playing style which may or may not be working for them.

I can kill a nachal giant in about 30-60 seconds.


lvl 42 here, and i can take down a red eye ghost giant in under a minute. its all relative

For all those capped archers, is the basic archer combo when pvping just devil arrow+ znti-dev?

I dont think I actually said that archers do low dmg. I can know from simply looking at the statistics that devil arrow owns. But as Ryoko said archers would be the best if they had as consistent high dmg and stuns/whatever effect with all moves as a glaive, but they arent.
Didnt you see the part where i sad "The bow skills are really good though :banghead: "? Its amazing that they have 22.4 meter shotrange, and in my opinion that, more than nukers, has made a lot of glaviers choose lightning as their second force to get the grasswalk series.

Archer = support character. Its been that way in all games and in real life. Enough said.

Im finally starting to get it every weapon has its use, kinda like MU online, on blood castle you need all races to do well in there, now i think silkroad implemented PvP to test skills and equipment, but i think silkroad was like focused on group pvp, Bows and nukers behind shooting and nuking everything, bladers and glaviers infront knocking and stunning, so every weapon has a use in the game, has advantages and disadvantages, but if you combine everyone of them, it will be cool, IMO.

So like somebody said, if you build your character thinking only on pvp, you will be dissapointed, and i agree with that
