Why is that even important? The system would be complex if the high parry and low parry rate would do the different things -
where both of them would have their benefits and bad sides.
Everything you need to know in Silkroad is that if if parry rate increase, the benefits for you linearly increase.

Every single game has mathematical principle behind its game mechanics, but you dont need to care about it because its irrelevant.

how exactly bezerk gain is calculated.

Probably a rand() function after killing a monster.

Sometimes it feels awkward that I visit SRF despite only "seriously" playing Silkroad for like 10 months, three years ago.

After quitting SRO 5 years ago I played many other MMO's. SRO was my first MMO to but I didn't have any problem switching over to another. When I first started up WoW I instantly forgot about SRO... a 'monthly-subscription-MMO' is just way better :)
Less grinding, better graphics, barely any botting, good support, many updates, WAAAYYY better quests etc.

Also SRO advertises as 'free to play' but it's entirely designed to still cost money. Much more money than any monthly subscription for any other MMO. Every serious SRO player will pay money for gold time and helpful items. They forged a few nice gambling systems like making weapons +X and the magic lamp/pop system. Sure you CAN play it for free but if you don't pay alot of money you won't even become nearly as good as most others.

Next to WoW I also played Aion, Guild Wars, Star Trek Online, Rift and The Old Republic.

I'm just saying, it isn't everything that can be read on the site.

The fortress feature was an example even if there was an explanation half the community would act retarded with such information.

Explain to you the math behind everything.. hmm.. Well you got me there. I can't help on that.

Well it is now. Before the avatar, premium, and 12D you could play without paying money. Sure you could buy the absorption scrolls, but you were a ****** if you did. Even if you add in the avatar and premiums you can still play without it. Sure you're going to do 15% less, but you still can play. Spoiler! I played without a premium besides 2 months and I wasn't complete shit(I also used the free Halloween avatar). To add further to that I was a bard warrior. So go ahead. Laugh.

I think it has to do with the open gameplay, guilds/parties can form anywhere with no problem, customization of your own weapons and classes, the old pvp when there was no lag. Good times.

Nitro, I know that it's not important to know the mathematics behind, and yes, I do realize that every game has it's own mathematical calculation of damage etc. (obviously). All I'm saying is that Joymax has more variables that play a part than most other games.
That, together with the fact I stated previously that only very little information is given on the Joymax website, makes Silkroad very complex and hard to understand if you're new to the game. Sure, it's easy to go and kill some mobs and don't care. After playing for some time, however, you'll naturally start wondering how these things really work.

And that is what I believe makes Silkroad such a great game:
It's very easy to go at if you're new to the game. And yet, you can study the game for tons of hours if you want to know every little detail. Pretty much as BuDo said ;)
Dubious ・ Lvl 101 ・ STR Archer ・ jSRO-R ・ active
PillowFight ・ Lvl 69 ・ STR Archer ・ jSRO-R ・ inactive
Aggrobatic ・ Lvl 101 ・ Warrior / Cleric ・ jSRO-R ・ inactive

Omg I am the same - my first mmorpg .. after that I played:
Cabal, Runes of Magic, World of Warcraft, Tales of Pirates, Archlord, Drakensang, Aion, Lineage 2 ..

And I still returned to SRO, I still enjoy SRO the most and thats what I am playing now too. And btw I am DOTA player too i have thousands of games in DOTA, HON and DOTA2, also I've played every possible TD on war3. I play Pro Evolution Socced (was playing a lot of FIFA but PES is better) i have like 10 seasons in every version (one season is >50 matches).

And still my most played game ever is Silkroad. One big LOL !
