There should be an agreement when you first join the game that makes you agree to behave in a civilize manner.

Globals should be recorded since they are silk items. If you send an offensive,racist, or inappropriate global, you get warned, 1 week ban, 1 month ban, perm ban.

Really tired of trying to talk to ppl and having a spam of yellow chat about fck (insert a country in the middle east here).

I don't think players should be censored for wanting to express themselves freely however immature or inappropriate they may be. Might as well try to censor people in real life.

What joymax should do however is give all players the ability to copy and paste any word or statement deemed as inappropriate into a block list so those who are easily offended wont have to see it at all.

iv heard of ppl getting banned for a day or a couple of hours for being colorful in their globals. ofc this was back when we had gms id imagine

Yep, those were the days. GM usually do 1 day block to those global chat abusers/racist.Too bad GM's don't care about anything now, more global spam mean more $, so why would they ban/block who is spending $.

One of the best things about sro is the ability to say whatever the hell you want to say. Without some GM being like "OMQ THAT WAS SO RUDE, BAN HAMMER!*.

Look at this: if someone you called you shit Rl like white pig, sandnigger, *****, freak or anything like this at all.. anything offensive really.
How would you feel? An insult is an insult, cyber or rl.
Someone get hurt and others laugh of it.

Trolls, imature yerk and no matter what to call them should be banned from the world wide web. That would be a lesson.

Manners should be the one thing people should respect no matter to religion, skincolor or what the **** that is inside the head of way to many people.

The real thing that this game need is a "trader shop" where u can put ur items for sale, log off and when u login u can check if it was sold or no, that would take the traffic 50% down

Something like this exists. It's called consignment. You can find consignment NPC's at Constantinople, Hotan and Jangan.^^

I'd rather ignore an outright racist obnoxious person rather than deal with this same person that was made/forced to be nice and civil. Like I said earlier in this thread. Joymax should give all players the ability to block certain words, statements or player that the user finds inappropriate....not try to run a dictatorship on free speech...

If you see something that you find inappropriate for you then u just add it to your block list. The rest of world can see it but you wont have to..Its a win win for everyone....

I guess we see things differently.

Like in Counter-Strike, I usually try and look for servers where there are rules about no porn sprays, no mic spamming, no kids using mics, no cussing or racially charged attacks. If they break the rule, ban.

If its the people who practice and promote bad behavior the main cause of your concern then would you rather associate and play with a well behaved racist asswipe who was forced to be civil? You won't change these types of people with a day or week ban. And in most cases they won't ever be permanently banned...so just what is your concern really?

If your true concern is that we cant change people but we don't have to put up with their behavior then I think you and I are on the same page....I've already offer a solution in my former postings.
