Making the most Money

Post by BlueFeather »

Here's my question to all the rich people, How have you made the most cash in the game?

(Consider whether its fast, easy and profitable, but just choose the most efficient)

For me so far, I say smart trading:
Though I havent done it often, on few occasions I come accross bargains in the game, i can buy these items, use them, and generally sell them off for a higher price making profit.

:D :D :D

i made about 1mil in a week just grinding. while i was grinding all i did was pick up gold. i usually sell off the crappy items to npc but the good ones i vend while im sleeping. trading takes too much time IMO. i can use that time to just grind and get higher lvl. while ur trading u dont gain exp which can be used to lvl up. only trade worth going on is the huge alliance trade where everyone can benefit.

I make the most money trading. More than 100k profit per trip.

Grinding and finding/selling loot items is the second quickest way, bearing in mind that you're losing a lot of that profit through using pots, transport/teleport, etc.

i have good luck with drops. if we're talking overall game efficiency, then grinding is the way to go. you have to do it anyway, so why not make money while you're at it? especially if yo uahve a run of good luck like i did the other day.

It all depends. For instance, I fought white tigers for two hours and got two item drops. Two. That's clearly not worth it. But if I had gotten a high level SoS drop, I'd of course made more money that I could have made trading for two hours.

I've now killed about 320 chakji workers, and all I've gotten from that are two Atrocious Snake Spears and a Perfect Quilting Tasset. All non-plussed, standard items. That's about 25k when I sell it to an NPC, which is a little more than half of what I would have made on one trade. On the other hand, killing chakji also gives me experience and gold - so for me it's all about what I feel like doing at the moment. And right now, that's levelling up as quickly as possible.

i find that one of the best ways to make money is slaughter things that are green for you.. pick up all the gold and because you're killing so many of them, your chance of item drop increases :)

I agree. At least for me, hunting green mobs is the fastest way to make money.

I hunt white/pink mobs. They drop stuff for me that's useful for me later, in turn saving me money. Also, I have a +3 Glavie, :D. Its like a knife through hot butter.

I think what method is best really depends on your own goal. If you're just trying to get lots of money, and that's your end goal, trade runs all the way. If, however, you want money as a means to get better weapons, and better weapons as a means to level more quickly, then you might as well grind as long as you can stand the monotony. It will be some time before you get to an area with good enough drops that your profit over time is about equal to a trade run, but when you get there you'll be a higher level. You won't need to purchase a great level 24 or 32 weapon, because you're already past that level; so you have fewer things to buy, therefore, fewer costs.

My goal is to have fun, so I do what the hell I feel like doing at any given time. Fun for me includes some degree of good performance, so sometimes what I feel like doing is making money for immediate use, and then I do trade runs. There's always the chance of that SoS weapon drop while grinding which can net you the equivalent of dozens of 1-stars, but trade runs are at least consistently profitable.
LOL

personally, watching sports just isn't for me. I'd prefer to actually play it...

but whatever. it's just entertainment i suppose. unless you go crazy about it like people do about hockey.

have you ever SEEN Eagles fans? i grew up in NJ, right in the shadow of Philadelphia. in some places in my town, NOT liking the Eagles could get you lynched.

i do enjoy watching sports on TV, but i usually reserve this for big games, (Super Bowl, World Series, etc.) baseball is a bit slow to me, bt i like football, and basketball can be entertaining. i worked for a fanatical Flyers fan for several years, so hockey kind of scares me atm, but i'm working on overcoming my fears :)
