When you put on a job suit you also get to choose a new "job" name. No one knows your true identity and your guild isn't shown. You can't join normal partys, you must join special "job" partys. You can't PM someone using their job name, so if they are in a job you can still PM me them by their original name. You also get a little * by your job name (it goes to the left of it). Once you choose a job, their some type of limit I think before you can cancel that job and go to a new one. A trader I met (he was a level 5 trader!) told me once you choose job you can't do another one.
I couldn't find out to much else, not many people spoke English, and some of it I had to figure out.
