Quest about luck

I've been playing silkroad from 2006 and I have never heard this but I thought I'd ask and see if I have been silly this whole time.

If you put luck stones on your gear does that give your character more luck in plusing or is that only for that item the lucky is added on?

I always thought it was only for the item the luck stone is on but someone told me it adds to the characters luck when plusing any item...

It's just for the item you put it on and only works on the next + you try. It will always disappear even if it fails.

ive plused shit with lucky and a couple of times they were still there..
but im talkiing about drops with lucky already on it... its never happened to me trying to go +6 or higher :P

I used to think that luck was the same as magic find in diablo 2. Luck is overrated, I never got anything past +4 =(
