Lol? alot of games do. different countries have different laws regarding internet usage and games. take vsro for example. they can only play for max of couple hours per day, because there is regulation on mmos in vietnam. after a certain amount time you stop getting xp,sp, and gold. im sure they want to restrict client to 2 for all countries, but some countries have laws protecting against such restrictions...

Maybe Joymax doesn't want to ban the botters, but instead they want to make them more inclined to stop usng bots and continue playing by the rules. I suppose they're not trying to kill the game, they are trying to revive it.

The way I see it, this IP restriction is a step in the right direction. We should be grateful for what we've got, even if it's not what we were hoping for. I believe most of us remember how it was back in 2008-2009, right?

I dont get why JM added philippines where i couldn't see ppl playing SRO anymore and even the private servers.

Most of the time ppl here play CF or LOL or even LAN DotA. Me? I only play Garena DotA when i feel bored from all PHP Crap.

Also, we are also waiting for SRO2. So why spend time on this when a better game will come up in the future... We are patient enough for the long wait.

nah, actually many Pinoys play in Azteca. Some of my real life friends play there but not me. I see that it has the most active Pinoy community next to Phoenix.

It's sad some of my friends can't play in shops anymore cuz of 2 acct ip limit. I still noticed that there is still so many goldbots and goldbots staller, where is the account limit now? ridiculous ip ban, joymax wants to lose money and close this game down, 1 paying customer from USA with 3 accounts each with premium tickets is more valuable than 100 of the typical "cyber" egy/turks who "might" purchase silk gifts (with gold) to recharge their monkey once every 3 months.

yea new waves of bots are starting to appear so there must already be a way to get around this limit, i also have heard that turkey have no limit anymore... a turk told me (in broken english) that he had 16 clients running. one with an 8man party in job cave, one plvling noobs at ongs and his 2 noobs and the char he was using to play CTF...

i first heard that clientless bots didnt work at all but now they work again anyway... ive seen various people selling there IP's already loaded up with certain bot programs.

to be honest im getting sick and tired of people who
a) obviously bot yet deny it
b) people telling me they dont hax when they see me in stealth even when i know they arent using a skill. (for example standing at the flag in stealth and some1 res's and as soon as 5s is up just attacks me...

and finally
c) when i ask them why they have to hack, i get called a noob.

things like stealth is integral for wizzards as otherwise they lose to every class:
blader - soul blade or dance
nuker - lion shout
glavier - spear throw
bower - ...any skill
xbow - any skill
bard - win nuke speed
cleric - well... bless anyway

Personaly I think its kinda Racist that Egyp + Turkey got no ip limit.

Because I see 1000s of Turkish 1 man 8 chars pts online.
Also as soon as the ip limit of Turkey / Egypt was removed , I noticed a HUGE increase on goldbots in Zeus.

And also I notice a huge increase in Turks winning pvps. Because they got 24/7 buffers on Samarkand now in pvp. And I wonder what next FW will do. Last fw an American + German guild occupied jangan + hotan.. I know for sure they are going to lose it, because Turks can login 1000s of chars and are able to get gold easily = Better equips.

Personaly I think that if joymax has no option to block all countries, they shouldnt do a single country.
Its all or non, but they shouldnt give certain countries advantages above others.

*Thats like the same as giving the same player always the chance to kill the unique, that aint fun for others.

pretty sure that pk2 editting to remove stealth isnt considered allowed here...
what do you mean its not a hack? its editing game files in order to give you an advantage over players that do not have this (or that have stealth to hide from people)
its like saying using transparent wall skins on CS:S isnt really a hack because its just a simple edit... which allows you to see people through walls.

GM Console gives u the ability to use the free camera(u can create ur own login screens with that), show wireframe, disable the display of ground and/or sky etc. Dunno if it gives advantages over others, but it sure is cool to use the free cam to create cooler vids, intros and stuff.

those are all still client side. the invisible person becomes and invible skin in game to your client. not arguing for them, as i think viewing stealth is lame, but they are still all in the client side. non client side hack would be like, gold dup, or 1 hit killing people.

There weren't even 1 ban (temporary or permenant) because of pk2 edits , so it doesn't seem they actually care about it , not sure if there is a way to detect if pk2 was edited that joymax use .

Oh and by saying client sided i meant that it doesn't effect the game play of anyone other than the editor ,like you can have your normal +3 weapon look like a +15 sun weapon or change the shape of the weapon to another degree , make your wolf look like a mob and much more things that you are the only one that can see it ,.

Maybe the invisible and stealth pk2 are client sided but they affect people other than you but it doesn't seem joymax will do anything about it soon .

easy fix to this ,if joymax just spent a tiny bit of their time actually improving gameplay. make it so invis/stealthed chars cannot be attacked at all until revealed by a skill or potion.

joymax probably wont ban you for pk2 editing stealth but we dont support it here on this forums as its cheating...
when calculating my sp i was like "shall i take invis or detect?"
then i realised theres not much point because detecting wizzards will just show you that theyre casting to kill you, and no-one takes detect if they have pk2 edit so they either see you, or they dont.

the stealth in wow works better, stealth should just be made server side that way someone would have to modify the actual client to view it, making it much much easier to detect if someone is using a hack (however bots do the same and they dont get detected...)
