Why someone shouldn't be legit... from one's own experience.

If you want to be chinese AND you want to be the slightest bit competitive.. you have to bot. Simple.

Perhaps now you do since by the time you'll reach the cap the game might be gone, but if you played while the game was at its prime and while the caps were being released (ie you have time to cap and spend a while at said cap before it raises) then it was very possible.

I would know..I did it. I could still hit the newest cap if I bought exp tickets and reinstalled, but the game no longer appeals to me.

@Dutchy, In that case more power to him. There's a Saxonian guild on Alps that pride themselves on being legit. Some of them anyways. It was kinda cool watching them take over Bandit fortress. Well, until my union took over jangan and hotan and forced all the turks to attack bandit in desperation. A guild full of 110 egypt gear legits can't defend against 100+ 110 botting noobs.

I'm not saying go bot. I'm trying to say, as someone who's grinding the old cap by hand and the new cap as well. After finishing it's kinda bleh. I wish I didn't waste all that time. If I knew how long and how many hours I was gonna spend on this game, I would've quit after lvl 30. From 1-30 was probably the most fun I had. Then the 100-110. The in between part, kinda sucks balls.

It was fun hitting 50 to explore dw cave like in all the youtube videos, but I gotta say, the "funness" of that dies off after you have to grind there for 3 months every day and still not strong enough to move to takla...

So my main point is that it shouldn't be a decision between "should i be legit or bot", but rather just quit now... just do it... it's not worth it.

I already see what you were getting at Goseki from your opening post but it's just that some mods on here might have a different view. I've been playing since the start of 70 cap so I know how it feels....Everyone that plays and watch their guild members/friends bot and left them behind knows the feeling. All I ever wanted and still want from this game is to be able to play the game with actual people...But it's hard.. I end up only playing about once a week because of the lack of human interaction.

Hangrinded to 80, basically had to play for at least 5 hours a day to grind off my 3 hours of gold time. Out of the like 10 gold times tickets I got, I probably only missed like 4-5 days of gold time. Yea it was pretty sad when I farmed sp for months and months(still needed like triple what I farmed lol) and reach cap at 70 and 80, I was still not on the same level as everyone else no matter what(was pure star glavie). Only times I could really compete was when I borrowed a friends sostar glavie at 70 or his sun at 80.

I handgrinded a pure STR Blade to 65 at 70 cap, and a pure STR bow to 69, with NO SILK AT ALL. Done on Oasis, before the 80 cap.

After 80 cap opened, when I turned level 72, everyone was level 80 and full farmed already. Decided the game wasn't worth it anymore, as I couldn't - by my standards - spend a reasonable amount of time playing it, and still have some sort of satisfaction. I had lost the motivation I had to grind the other two characters as well.

I played a little bit after the euro expansion, but the game really wasn't for me anymore. Also capped on SWSRO in two months, when I had some free time, but it wasn't really that much fun.

I don't know. I can see where some people in this thread are coming from, but I can't judge anyone in any way. Except for the botters; they can and should be judged.

Well as i said answers can only be one sided, and most people here think botting is a crime or something lol, everyone can play the way they want, whoever thinks it's better to bot what's the big problem, anyone can bot anytime, no reason to be mad, if i choose to be legit and get mad because other people are botting, i should just go play another game... I play this game for about 4 years, and i know the leveling speed is ridiculous at gap 0, and sometimes you have to gap 9 just to get some sp, and get EVEN less xp
As i said, if you choose to bot you will miss alot about the game and the fun, and if you choose to be legit you should be happy playing, otherwise it's just a waste of time

Yea, I just won't be on SRO much anymore. The big english-speaking union on ALPS broke up last week, as a result, we lost both hotan and jangan fort. Now all 3 forts belong to a group of racist egyptians and random turks. I plan on waiting until my friend tells me a decent union pops up again.

The problem is the exp/sp rates in this game do not scale correctly. Most games take maybe a couple months to get to max level (if there is one) with relatively easy gameplay if you know what you are doing and how to do it.

At 60 and 70 cap there really wasn't many people who used a bot because it was manageable as a legit. Now it seems to be impossible to get cap because when/if you ever did you don't feel accomplished because it took SO LONG.

I never plan on reaching cap and I'm happy right now at level 49 when the friend I made who does use a bot is now level 82... we were both level 21 at crabs. However I am still having fun joining parties occasionally or just owning stuff with my SoSun +6 level 42 staff. I'm hoping to at least make it to 64 so I can use the SoSun staff from FW.

And yet, people bot the heck out of their chars at private servers as ZSZC. Even though their server have 30x normal rates in both exp and sp. Personally I believe that a lot of people have gotten so used to bot on isro that they take that with them to the private servers. In other words, people have become lazy. So yeah, what I'm trying to say is, that it won't help much even if Joymax would double or quadruple the rates, as it's more about the mentality of the players, than the rates.

agreed tho a little fixing up of the rates as well as the quest rewards would help a bit. Especially if they would help relax sp farming needs of the players(especially chinese chars that are practically forced to solo). As for having a large cap and making it hard to reach is not so odd. If anything it makes the game more interesting. The only reason so many ppl are at cap is simply bcoz they bot....ah nvm all these points have been said b4 time and again and to no point in particular.

besides the people on this forum that "claim" to be legit, ive never met one person that is, and if they were they quit a looong time ago. not only does it sound IMPOSSIBLE to be 110 and legit, it sounds sad. that kid with the 86 and legit sounded reasonable cuz he had prem and a euro party and he also said he didnt finish those 3 hours but 110 and legit? are you kidding me? thats like telling me you walked on top of water, its so unbelieveable that unless i see it IN PERSON, in a lake of my choice then u cant possibly expect me to believe it. unless u have a video of you grinding every single day from 99 to 110, like a video showing YOU sitting at your computer grinding that much then ur lying, and you know for a fact you're lying. and if you DO have a video showing that, then you need to go outside breathe some fresh air and jog, cuz you are missing out on life. and thats the saddest part of it. you wont get any kudos from me, i wept when i read ur post.

LOL I dont have a camera to film myself EVERY day but i can assure you, Im about 2% from 90 atm and none of us have any intention of stopping. Im about to purchase my 3rd ticket (FML and FJM cause no more regular tickets) and Im pretty sure I can get to cap with it. We still get a level a day even though its getting tougher. Our server doesnt have a lot of people at our level yet and getting "the good spots" is pretty easy. I will never be able to use all 5 hours of a prem ticket because I dont have that kind of time. Im lucky if I can get 3 grinded out! I can tell you from experience, its not that hard to level if you have a good regular party.
