Warlock/Cleric balance?
Hi, I have a warlock char lv96 which is given by a friend cuz he quit, Now my problem is how hybrid can I go with this char, Cuz I didn't play this char from the beginning I dont know much str he added to it. Right now the naked balance is 56%phy and 96%mag.
I'd like to know what Ratio is Best for Warlock/Cleric, or what Magical Balance should I maintain when naked??
Pls I need opinions of pro warlock/cleric players not some noobie theory.

Go int.
Re: Warlock/Cleric balance?
u can always see how much str he added.
take off all items, and see how many str points u have. at lvl 1 u have 20 str point and at 96 u should have 115 points naked.
depends why do u want to go hybrid. imo u should go pure but if u decide to to hybrid don't add more than 10 str lvls.

I read thread title and was like "oh no not again!".

Re: Warlock/Cleric balance?
Why? He's Warlock/Cleric, i dont see what few STR points would change with a sub cleric.
+ Warlock got shield to help. No point in having STR unless you don't know how to play your build

All int!
In pvp just hope that sleep works then use offering. Easiest way to win.
The more str the less damage

So you're saying that you have proof that hybrid is the way to go...

Re: Warlock/Cleric balance?
Hybrid is the way to go with a pvp warlock/cleric. More than 15lvls of str (45 points) would be a waste tho.

Re: Warlock/Cleric balance?
i've had at lvl 103 and play my friend's 9d one from time to time.
the lvl 103 one is a 1:8 hybrid, does pretty well but sometimes runs out of mp (using LA and constantly debuffing/DoT'ing pt mobs)
The extra str only gives you the opportunity to take 1 more hit (sometimes 2 hits) before you are in danger.
On the other hand, the damage you lose like that will be much more noticable than if you were a say, a wiz hybrid.
Means: the debuffing will be of even more importance for winning a fight while you are hybrid.
The 9D one is pure int and still hardly gets into real danger unless there is lag (using LA).
The only problem experienced from time to time is the low mp while attacking multiple targets, healing and debuffing.
/tldr:
I'd go pure int and use LA for pvp,
If you can afford all the fancy +10 son 1:8 or 1:9 hybrid at most

Re: Warlock/Cleric balance?
Go a little hybrid. Why? because you want to own in a pvp. you want to be able to tank 3 chinese at the same time, and you still want to be able to kill your enemies.
A friend of mine has a 110 FF warlock/cleric, he is pretty much ownage. Hes a little hybrid with about 29k HP and the rest MP. Ofcourse he still can kill, and he nukes as hard as a full int wizard because he has debuffs.
The point is that you dont want to be weak like a wizard, but that you can tank. If you go pure int with a warlock you'll be a 1 hit by every warrior or rogue. the haters gonna say now that you will have more defense cuz you have a shield, but you still wont be able to tank. For FW, jobwar, PVP and even grinding so you can actualy tank Giants and pty mobs:
GO HYBRID INT
( dont forget to buy nova shield, nova warlock and nova LA set

Re: Warlock/Cleric balance?
As a 110 ff warlock cleric i say go hybrid, at least have 30k hp with devil spirit. You will find that you don't rely as much on ure nukes to kill, but more on abs dmg, dots, and dmg return. I went pure str from 90 to 110 and thats about the minimum for being a successful hybrid, if you are past lvl 95 and pure int for example there's no point in going hybrid.
