PURE INT : BOW vs SWORD

I decided to play again my nuker Character, It is Lv85 with 85+7 s/s, and masteries Bich/cold/light FF lv78. I have 7 gap now. This character has tried almost all masteries from heuk/fire/cold to fire/light/cold to bich/fire/cold and now its bich/light/cold. Re setting skill in no problem, just help me decide the final skill trees i Should up.

I have seen very good pure int bowman but I don't know how to play it right in pve.
The reason why I have 2nd thoughts of bich is that so many people have that build already and they are not really that strong. I just want unique build or build that some pepople use. ))

I need some advice that have experience of playing pure int bowman(preferably Lv95++)
Or give me a reason to stay bich.


If you just gonna say pure int bowman is n00b build, then don't bother posing at all cuz you don't know what you are talking.

i'd stay bicheon, coz of shield, knockdown skills, stabs, and other beautiful skills
and cold/light or cold/fire... hmm both have something useful, so you gotta pick what u like more

S/S because with shield, you have something to protect you a bit when you stop to nuke the enemy, while a bow would sit at your side as dead weight.

I personally believe S/S to be more useful as pure int, since it gives you a little better defence than pure int bow. If I were to make a pure int char, I'd definitely go for S/S.

If you are looking for a fun build that will act as support for you guild mates in times of war then go with int bow. Your guild mates will give you all the defensive buffs you need and you will be able to survive while doing massive amounts of damage from range. If PvP is of great concern to you then stay SS.

Personally speaking I prefer bow and I like to PvP so I wouldn't go pure int bow but rather int hybrid where I have some survivability on my own. I got 3 bow chars on the go right now...a full str and str hybrid and a int hybrid...I want to know how well each does at higher levels..I will eventually choose to continue leveling 2 of the 3 after my findings.

light/cold Is a must. Pure Int NEED snow shield for pvp. And light for Mag attack and Speed

pure int bow in pve -

(this is what i do)

butterfly bow + 2 lion shouts (or 5 arrow combo)
strong bow (1 shot kill)
1 light nuke (1 shot kill)

or

when you lure monsters to u,
select the monster use butterfly bow, then when they get close to u use light nuke or demon arrow, lion shouts to finish though i doubt you need to.

so my skills are:

arrow combo
strong bow
demon arrow
butterfly bow
lion shout
light nuke

(note i didnt take anti devil bow because for 1 its only 250% and it casts about the same speed as strong bow. it has a crit increase but for pure int my main thing was higher attack rating. the higher your attack rating the better. and with crits you crit maybe 3k higher, i mean your damage is already high so it doesnt matter)

i use cold imbue and protector, im lvl 76 and farming atm. i have a +6 sos bow but even with a regular ol +5, ur atack rating is so nice that your strong bow and nuke should 1 shot things 2-4 lvls over you with a 9 lvl gap. and if not then lion shout. i like to use the butterfly bow cuz it lures to you and with the cold imbue some of them are slowed down so its not like ur gonna die, i have good gear anyway that i made but even if you had npc you should be ok. pure int bow's advantage is the distance + the power from attack rating + your speed. you should be able to take out things before even a wizard gets done casting so a vs a chinese nuker in ksing nobody is a match for you.

i'll make a detailed guide when i get to lvl 81 after im done farming, honestly i love this build and it does NOT suck like what other people suggest. it rocks MOST builds, yes i use snow shield its in the game for a reason.

As long as the masteries are chosen appropriately, *ANY* bow build is good. This is especially true at lower caps. e.g. at 80 cap with 80 pach / 80 fire / 70 light / 70 cold, you could have ANY STR / INT distribution, and your build would still be strong.

you dont NEED a pickup pet if you dont pick up gold, but honestly i would suggest getting a pickup pet with this especially because you kill from such a distance, not 10.0m like a nuker but much more almost into the 30.0m distance. that way you dont have to walk all the way there.
