Alchemy +3 +5 +7 +9 +++++

For me alchemy has always been hard.

I can almost never get to +5. No matter how many elixirs (weapons, prot and accessories). +7 and beyond is almost out of the question.

+3 is so easy I can get it almost right away.

Do you guys have the same experiences as me or is +5 and +7 really easy?

In general how many elixirs you have to use to get a +5? .... and then from +5 to +7 how many more??

The least I have used to get +5 is at least 100 elixirs... :palm:

+5 used to be hard for me since i didnt have too much money. my budget was like 10 mil a week. +5 isnt too bad if you can afford lucky stones. when you hit +3, lucky it and try. if it goes +4 hit it with a lucky nd pray

Depends, it really is just luck. Sometimes you can spam 100 elixirs at a weapon and not get +5, other times the first 5 work.

I just use elixirs as I get them on drops I save in storage. My best is +5 on two swords in a row, 10 elixirs. My worst is not getting +5 on a shield after 175 in a row (as fast as I could press fuse, I was pissed off :P)

I've made a lot of +7... almost always on white items with no immo. (I've also destroyed a lot of stuff) With the wins comes the loses.

pipigrande, are you in a private server?
In ECSRO I was always able to get +3/4, after that I would fail 90% of the time, it seems the old versions have HORRIBLE alchemy rates.
In iSRO I could usually go to +5 in just a couple tries, and I could often get to +7 quickly and easily w/o silk items.
As you can see the +'ing differing between official and p servers is significant.

The only time i tried +ing something on isro was when i bought 72+4 spear and made it +7 in 3 elixirs.

I had my ''luck'' period in isro, when i made 5 +7's in 1 week and 1 +8...

I buy all my weapons / armor with immortal on so I don't need to buy it myself..

Like everyone said, +5 could be really hard to get, or it could be easy.. my spear failed to +5, 11times before getting to +5 (120mil wasted on elixirs) and back then, my sos lv 90 spear took me 8 elixirs, and my friend who sold it to me wasted 200++ trying to get +5, he was desperate and sold it to me for 200mil xD

Its just luck.. like gambling

only on iv ever used was lucky. i know attribute fails... a lot

Lucky, steady, immortal, and astral are the only stones that cannot fail.

As for op spam enough elixirs it'll go. If anything have multiple weapons and have them at all +3 then +4 then try for +5. I used to do this when selling +7s. Started with 10 ended with 2 or 3 at +7 if I was lucky. How long did it take? How much? That's a tough one. Took forever and didn't cost much since elixirs were cheap.

ah ok, all iv ever used is lucky. i wish wpn elixirs were still 200k. it would make alchemy soo easy. do you think jm will come up with a new type of astral for a higher +. like on that drops to +7 or something

I tryed some alchemy today after inspection and iv never +5 anything in my whole 3 years of playing. I started with my SoN legs and got +4 straight away so I left them on +4, then tryed my SoN blade and I had to use 60-70 elixirs :rant:, I also used lucky stone from +4 to +5, also have prem+. Its all about luck, some are really lucky and some are not, its the world we live in....it sucks ass :D.

Alchemy REALLY sucks now. I've been using LUCK stones just to go from +4 to +5. At one point I've had seven items fail +5 in a row. It also fvcks with players cuz going beyond +5 gets so expensive cuz of the immortals. I burned all the ones on my nova set so far.

Yes, currently playing in a psro.

But I realize that people here play iSRO. So, even from my experiences of iSRO (back to 60,70,80,90 cap) alchemy was very hard to ME..

I have met so many people in iSRO that sell +7 and +9 weapons, like making them is easy. Everytime I had a clean weapon and wanted to + it, I would just give it to one of this people (friend). I would just give the weapon to them to get it +7 or +9 and they would give it back to me the same day, usually after 10mins.

Im currently pimping a 85 staff, always using lucky stone for +3 -> +4 and I failed 5 times. Good my drops give me enough lucky stones after destroying and I drop many elixirs also so I dont spend any money on alchemy. Anyway its quite hard for me :(

At the 90 gap I used to purchase shields/xbows with good block and crit at +0, then make them +5, and then sell them again :) That could earn you a great deal of money. EVEN though you had to use LOTS of elixirs. Back then the elixirs were cheaper of course... that kinda plays a role too.

Anyway, I used between 20-30 mostly. Sometimes more though.

I've never got anything above +5. Even though I tried alot -.-

Same here. +2 is no problem but most times I need more runs to get to +3. +4 is unique for me and +5 impossible. I did never got it! Never..... Hope that does change anytime lol

but blue alchemy is easy for me, nearly always 100% str, int, parry etc :palm:

+3 for a base set,
if there are enough elexiers around go +3 again -> try +4
if there are lucky stones and enough to +4 again-> try +5
if there are enough +5 items that are the same+lucky+elexiers->try +6

+4 was the most annoying to go since i tried it without luckstones and it has to be 1-4 in a row just depending on the prem,lucky suit and the item's own luck rate.

+5 to me was for boredom or a storage full of elexiers, or both

if an item failed more than 3 times in a row going +2 then i destroyed it if it didn't have any blues instead of trying to press luck by throwing away elexiers.

If i gotta pimpin weapon i always try for +6.. so far i've done a lvl 80 2h, a lvl 76 bow and a lvl 80 bow. all hit +6 first try :yay: (i used lucky for +4 +5 +6)

Although sometimes if i have unlucky items i have hella time getting +3 -_- other day i failed +3 on my shield about 50 times in a row.
