High level players that bot (most of them anyways) put tons of money into this game.....and these GMs know each and every account that is botting......They will ban the gold bots and only warn the player bots with hopes that player bots will stop.....I've never seen a game where they warn you ahead of time about their intentions....

This gives player bots a chance to momentarily quit. Any idiot can see that. Its like a police officer announcing to the entire community in advance that he's gonna patrol by a well known drug corner. Is this how GMs will fight against bots??.

This is lame....Joymax's own incompetence is forcing them to hold on to their main source of income....which are mid-high level gold buying botters. All of us here have already established that over 90% of SRO's "real" player base are botters. Joymax won't remove 90% of SRO's earnings despite our repeated protest. Nothing is going to change.

What he says is pretty much the truth and I've known that from the start like many others.

Except the one thing the GMs do not understand is that more people will be buying gold which will just mess up the community if the price drops down low. They need to ban and sue the people who make gold farming sites. They could edit there C.O.S so that it says you aren't allowed to sell ingame items or accounts at all.

Anyone know though if silkroad sounds like it could quite possibly have a decent come back?

nope, before it was the chinese who started the goldbots. But nowadays, goldbots come from anywhere, any country.

To fix sro they would need to

1) make it p2p
2) fix the exp and sp rates, and more content to compete with other established p2p games
3) get rid of the item mall
4) make jobbing a LOT more rewarding
5) have more gm support
6)merge servers
7)market the game for new players to join
8)make a new server so that the new players can play without getting owned by lvl 105 botted older players
9)implement some kind of game protection and bot bannings

Basically turning it into a real game, but...that would be too much work. JM has been milking this cash cow and parting idiots from their money since way back at 60 cap, they have the money do make these changes in a whole week. but its a risk. so untill they start losing massive amounts of money they will leave it as it is. They arent interested in making a great game(at the beginning they were) they are intersted in money, plain and simple.

This is not news folks
6 truths
1.You cannot touch all your teeth with your tongue.
2.All idiots, after reading truth 1, will try it.
3.And discover that the first truth is a lie.
4.You're smiling now because you're an idiot.
5.You soon will forward this to another idiot.
6.There's still a stupid smile on your face.

None constructive criticism is all you have to offer? Why haven't you provide any explanation behind your "Wont work"...or "Nahh"...and "Huh?"... Those responses aren't reasons as to why these ideas wont fix the game. Those responses are quite moronic. It's like watching a monkey answer some questions.

I made my opinion and said it many times, keep repeating it is not the solution specialy on this forum. The solution is very simple, due my studie on International Buisness i came across a list of countries that are concentrated on collectivism and on individualism. This game is a game for collectivism and can only be played the way it should be played.
Here isn Europe and America everyone is on their own what so called the individualism. We can say that it is not or fold to cooperate because it just isn't in us. American's are living the dream te become stronger and stronger, with in their mind a voice that says "fck the rest". Europeans only want to get rich and don't care how they do it. And asians play this game because they like to get the goal and work with eachother.
Now don't come to me and say that collectivism is better theb individualism because its not, its just a different way of life.
