The Servers

Post by Bleederi »

I don`t know if this happens on other servers or not, but this is Poseidons case at least.
I have noticed an odd thing with the servers and their emptiness.
Yes they are empty. You think that is because the hackshield?
The servers are trying to rapidly fill up, just look, and they will fill at a rate of 100players/minute. But why do they stay clean?
Look closer, and you will notice that the "percent filled" stat goes up to 90.5% and then it suddenly drops to 80.
About 350 players kicked precisely at the same time... I don`t think that is because at the Hackshield. OR JM only kicks select bots at select times.
Just look how rapidly the servers are filling and you will understand. Does this happen on other servers?

If I understood rigth when one guy told me, Clientless (or what ever it is) doesn't work as it should. Sadly Multi-Client still works, but goldbot comppanies cant now have 10 000 golbots logged in from one computer right now, so we are going better way now.

You are over analysing a simple thing.

Gold bot's cannot directly connect to the server unless they do it fully clientless. Chinese Gold farmers have horrible hard ware and assumed that they would only need a connection to the Internet and 512-1gig of memory to run 10 (yes, after 10 the risk for ban is there because of hardened server caps on IP) or more client less bots at once.

Now that you need to enter the game through a Client, the gold bot's aren't logging in unless they're smaller operations than the big players who- for example, take over karkarome or takla (most likely the same company- different flavors of gold bots in every server = different competitors to sell gold).

What you're witnessing is incredibly normal for an MMORPG. It's called real people logging in and out due to geography and that locations localized time (limited playing, such as in Turkish cafee's and comes, Islamic countries where prayer is heavily emphasised at certain times, capped time or bandwidth ISP's).

Also, Rev6 isn't exactly the epitome of accuracy.

tl;dr- No, **** that, read my post.

I don't prefer using rev6 since they actually anounced something like: hackshield is now activated, be careful while playing!

I normaly just check Videos or use Nivlam when i need to.

Also, there is some kind of a bug with one of the programs. Like a guild member told me, they can't use clientless now, so they need to have all their logged chars opened - it's pretty hard for most of the PCs to handle it. And they said that when someone DC from a party or they need to close one of the clients something is causing the PC to restart. So here u go, 5-6 accounts DCing in the same time. If it's caused to the whole party, you can have 40 accounts dcing at the same time if everyone in the party is having 4-5 clients running. So it's not that strange, there's something wrong with the bot and we can all be happy about it :)

Hmmm.
As far as I know the client have the same offsets as the old ones, the problem is the HackShield, but not the program itself. Before the update, when you connect to SRO the connection is directly with the server it sends and recive packets directly from your client. What's new with the new client? It runs HackShield at the begin, and enable the packet response of HackShield (I think I said it wrong ^^'), and the new server version sends every X time an encrypted packet to your client for check if HackShield is enabled. If it is, the client responses the packet sent and the game continues normally, but... what happen with clientless bots? They don't run the client nor the HackShield, and they can't bypass (yet) the security packet of HackShield, so when the server sends the packet to the clientless bots, they don't recognize the packet, can't bypass it and they don't response it, so the server after some seconds without response of the HackShield packet from the clientless bots, closes the connection with that client. So atm the goldbots are around karakoram for some minutes, until the server sends the HackShield packet and get disconnected. You can check it easily tracing during some minutes a goldbot. Of course they come back after some mins, and again the same loop.
That's what I supposed with the info I have, if anyone can confirm my theory I will be happy =3
And sorry for my english, ima nub! ^_~
