Re: 2010 and still craving..
I've been playing since the end of 2006, and although I haven't trained my 'main' char since 100 cap came out, I have made a bunch of other chars on different servers/versions
.

I think that the fact that iSRO was my first ever real MMORPG is what kept me hooked to it for so long and what still makes me want to come back to it time to time. When i first "officially" quit iSRO in early 2009 i tried out tons of other MMORPG's, Perfect World, Jade Dynasty, Runes of Magic, Flyff...etc. yet none of them were able to even get close to providing me with that same sort of crazy excitement that i felt when i first played SRO and that i still feel when i finally manage to connect to Xian. xD

I can't do else than agree with you Squirt. Silkroad just has this... flair that makes you want to come back once you've tried it (excluding the problems like bots). The concept of an MMO is pretty addicting itself, combined with the graphics, historic background (which most people probably ignore, but still), animations, challenges...
That's why Silkroad wouldn't work too good if it was P2Play, because it has to give people like a tidbit of what's to come to make them want to become stronger, buy silk and so on...
Joymax makes more profit every year, although they probably have the worst support ever (has become a little better recently, but it's still quite bad).

i feel your pain squirt. i stopped playing and went to PWI. but i still wish i could play sro. i miss everything about it. i even dl'd the installer when there was a few days without goldbots (thankfully my HD crashed within days of doing this, so i didnt have to delete the game again, blessing in disquise.) but i have determined within myself that i will not pay to enter a game that claims to be free. i certainly will spend money on an f2p game, but i will not be herded in the direction that they want me to spend that money. i have a secret hope for ESRO, but i dont forsee that happening any time soon.

^^Thanks Thomas42

Re: 2010 and still craving..
well.... i have the same problem. the game is the best mmo hands down for me. but the way its ran is just shocking. no point in returning when games like wow flyff aion or perfect world and such have private servers or normal servers with better service

Re: 2010 and still craving..
the main thing that makes me want to go back to silkroad is to get that awesome feeling of double critting a turk noob with daredevil on my warrior.

ECSRO ~ 86 Blader Dead
Re: 2010 and still craving..
although sro is hard to login, its kinda funny to see what is JM going to do next, "new" avys, events, few days with not crowded servers and such.

nice sig.
OnT: the fact is.. botting is not allowed.. bots are everywhere.. dunno if they try to stop it or no, but they are there breaking rules, if Jm cant apply their rules so it sux enough not to play it.
