Silkroad Online is a very nice game. The free form style is very appealing to me. I love the ability to do whatever I want - pvp, trade and hunt, thief, grind, customize my character, customize my equipment, or just pk someone I don't like. The game itself is amazing.

The problem is bad game management from an uncaring, greedy company who only cares about making as much money as possible, no matter the affect on its customers. Plus the outrageous amount of grinding it takes to be FF and capped. Oh and the turks suck too.

If this same game was in the hands of a good company that cared about its customers, as well as making a profit, and there was either a middle east version for the turks, egy, etc... or a north american version for americans, canadians, and i guess mexicans (don't know of any that play sro) this could be the best game ever.

I don't understand.. what makes me play silkroad?
Why wouldn't I Want to?!

This game is perfect, Flawless.
First off the customer support and care from Joymax is top-notch, I don't think anyone could be doing a better job!
They never listen to the players, but that's a good thing because what do we know anyway? We only play the game nearly every day and throw all our money at it.
Bots aren't a problem, it's so enjoyable to go out and grind and hit a monster for 49% of its health only to be killstealed by an automated player with a name like tgfhfshj.
Logging into the game is a very nice minigame to warm up in silkroad, it helps with your hand-eye coordination and typing skills! I have no idea why people buy premium tickets just to log in, that concept was always so odd to me.
The community is Amazing! Everyone is kind to everyone else, it's the perfect example of the Golden rule!
It's fun to be a damage test subject for turks at the PvP hotspots, they don't mind that their characters are 20+ levels higher than your own, it's all in good fun!
The level requirements are well within acceptable human range, I love how everyone has to grind 5 or more hours a day for half a year of their life to be capped and fully farmed with all of the great skills.
I absolutely love the fact that the game hasn't changed and adapted to the economy, I mean being able to stall something for over 1 billion gold would be stupid.
It takes a lot of trust to be able to hand over billions of gold to someone you don't really know in order to get that sun you want, unfortunately there are some bad apples who plan to take the gold and keep the item! But then all you have to do is report them to Joymax and you get your money back and their character gets severely punished!
I love the spammers in every town, they always keep me informed about how their company is best with gold 0.02 cents cheaper than their competitors! It must be really nice to save those extra few cents while purchasing gold. I mean think of what else you could buy! You might have enough for a silk movement pet that you have to kill off just minutes after use.

I hate turks now. I tried to be nice to them, but now its stupid. No more english speakers, all turks, so you can §t communicate. Where are the english speakers on silkroad. Alps i am leaving for sure, its a turk + bot zone, the only way to make money to kill bots, and pick up their drops.
Market encommy has crashed, everyone has to buy gold, and no sells their drops, lol.
