I come here to keep in touch with a few. I come here for cheap laughs every time someone thinks joymax will do something at this point. I come here when nostalgia waxes and I need a bit of MMO methadone to quell the false pangs of addiction.(just reading about what a shithole the game has become clears that right up) I come here for community service to the tiny bit of community there is. Most of you are not here for the game. You are here for friends. You are kidding yourself to think otherwise. Joymax is not in the least deserving of your money. None of you are deserving of the grief joymax has wrought. There are other games out there. Games with better graphics. Better balance. Better game play. Better admins. Did you know it is not a common thing on any MMO besides SRO to be massively outnumbered by bots either gold or player. Any other MMO even the other "free" ones bots are kinda rare. Yes SRO is that bad.

The truth is. Ben liked silkroad when he first started playing it, like all of us on here. After playing for a while he starts to realize some faults in the game, so he probably tried to quit a couple of times but always came back. Like he did couple days ago, even though he was off playing wow. What you guys don't realize is that sro was filling a void in your life, it provided you with entertainment when your were not working, at school, with family or friends.

Eh even if you are a premium using silk buyer the time required for SRO is less of a void filler and more of a life substitute. Even for those with the patience it is several months of hard farming followed by several months of hard leveling to cap fully farmed and it is only getting worse. I got 60+ fully farmed well geared in WoW in less than 3 weeks. Figure I will hit 70 in another week or two. And after that it is on to cap. Either way way better than SRO and I only play WOW an hour or two a few nights a week saving for the occasional battleground, instance, or raid.

With sro gone, that void returns, you feel sad and even lonely, so you start to go through withdrawals from the game that was filling the void. You then start to feel bitter about all the time you spent playing sro. Why? because its now over and you feel it was a waste, because it came to an end. But everything comes to an end, thats just part of life. You enjoy things while they last, and then move on to something else. It makes no sense to look back and feel bitter about something like playing sro. If you do, then your going to stay stagnant feeling bitter, when you could have been doing other things. Over the years I've played many MMO's, I still remember some of them vividly. I even download some of then and log in once in a while, to say hi to old friends. But I would never say to them what a waste of time their game is. Because its serving a purpose for them, like it was serving me previous.

Bitter is not the right word. Simply put every customer lost is another nail in the coffin for SRO. Sad to see the state it is in now. It should have died long ago. It is at once funny and painful to see ppl so addicted to this game still. Wake up it is not the game you like. Gather your friends and go forth explore other options. You will find SRO is not what you think it is.

I guess were in the same boat then. I stated playing sro summer of 2006, and by the end of 2006 I was trying to quit. I took me a whole two years to really quit sro, even though i still come to the forums nowadays.

My complaint against you, is that. Your trying to tell everyone on here what a waste of time sro is, but i bet when you were actively playing someone tried to do the same thing. And I'm pretty sure you blew them off as a loser or an idiot, like everyone is doing to you and Ben.

Yes, I agree, sro is nowhere as good as it use to be, or how good it could be. But your not gonna get anywhere by telling people sro is a piece of sh!t and waste of time. I honestly believe that these guys are sad and lonely in their lives. When they come on here and see other people having fun with a game that they are sad and bitter about they get upset. So to feel better about themselves, they try to take that happiness away from you. In this case, you playing sro. I was curious because when i did play Silkroad i always lived in hope that it would become the game we all wished it would be, but no and it never will be.

To put things straight, i don't have much time for online games any more. And i must add that over all this time, i've been in relationships and my current relationship is coming up for four years this next month. Currently looking for a new house and i'm thinking about starting my own business and i add that i've been in full time employment since i left educational status. I've always been an outgoing person and i only ever play(ed) online game to spend time with my friends who are local and across the globe.

So don't start thinking this is a social withdrawal issue, it's the case for many of you tho, and that's pretty obvious judging by your replies and shallow opinions. No goldbots, minimal amount of player bots, no ridiculous amount of time required to farm sp, much cheaper silk, no need for premium just to log in, a much more level playing field (no avatars, no devil spirits) and no gold buying etc. If this doesn't sound closer to the sro the majority of you started playing (give or take a few things, I realize not all of you have played since the games inception) than the current state of isro then I don't know what to tell you, but for me, thats how it SHOULD be played.

No goldbots because the server limit is so low. The ones who are player bots are the highest levels there, the Sun whores. You can buy SP. Silk was never a problem for me, and buying Silk for ECSRO is technically illegal. Premium items for a reason. No gold buying? Are you joking?

ECSRO(Fembria) is the most corrupt version of Silkroad out there. Any friend of the GM gets special benefits. The top botters are allowed to openly walk around with their shiny sun weapons. You can buy whole Sun +9 sets. Hm, sounds fantastic.

Bottom line is that ECSRO is for kid who can't take the grind of a Korean MMO.

I have yet to see one char named akl;jdsfa in Fembria. If there are gold bots, they are few and far between. If you think the gold bot problem is 1/10000th of what it is on isro, your sadly mistaken.

This is my issue with you, roflcopter..

If you were genuinely interested in the well being of people playing the game, you wouldn't come down with that condescending, holier-than-thou attitude that is actually driving people away from you rather than attracting them. So I don't believe your efforts are at all genuine but simply your personal way of attacking a vice that had a hold on you that you could not escape- a hold so strong you thought you would not escape- and attacking it leaves you with a feeling that you actually accomplished something and projecting your hate for that vice on everyone else. But then one day you left the game and you'd wish others would do the same because you truly and honestly believe that the game has the same effect on everyone else that it had on you. This is where problem lies. Your failure to recognize the fact that we are not like you.
