If Joymax sold their company...
... to another company that would continue their work, which company would you guys most trust.
Currently, i have 4 company's in my mind i would trust this game to.
NCsoft ( Guild Wars )
My first, and top choice. NCsoft provides excellent customer support and game content. Bringing the gamer Events every weekend with a variety of PVP events to Extra Experience/Gold Events. NCsoft really show's how an MMORPG should be done. Also Guild Wars has a unique future that every race has its own holidays - where events will be held - what keeps the player entertained. NCsoft takes the cherry on quality gaming and customer support, i think that they could expand Silkroad, and even the content of it, to increase server capacity.
Blizzard ( World of Warcraft )
In my opinion, World of Warcraft is a boring game, but Blizzards customer support is excellent. And the fact with steady income from World of Warcraft, Silkroad may have more futures. The only drawback is that the servers would be massively packed, due to that Blizzard is a well known company.
Mythic Entertainment ( Warhammer Online )
Also the same as Blizzard, but to me they could add an extreme nice future - Server Battles - just like Realm vs Realm. The huge drawback would be the server capacity.
Codemasters ( Archlord )
Good customer service, but lacking content and events. Considering that their game went from p2p to f2p. I think Codemaster would know the quality's of a f2p game and make it great.
There you have my opinion guys, for me NCsoft would be perfect when - if - they ever bought joymax. To me, they would make the game decent. Also by keeping the major quality's of Silkroad.

I'd have to trust Blizzard, just from the large amount of good things I've heard about their customer support.

NCsoft also has excellent customer support, and excellent game contant/events to keep the player entertained. Which i dont see so much in World of Warcraft, except last time i saw a 5000$ tournament.
But i understand, not everybody's opinion is the same.

Re: If Joymax sold their company...
I'm for Blizzard 100%. Just look at all their great hits and the amazing customer support they have which is the reason why they're so successful. Diablo, Starcraft, Warcraft, that's enough said, I'd trust them:D

blizzard ~ however, they'd need to make the game easier to farm, and more fun @ cap.

i am willing to p2p.. it would be cheaper then gt... wow is only $15 for a month.. the top gt is $29..
they would charge $10 and all the silk items would be 1/3 the price they are now.. is not 1/4
think of it this way.. 250 people pay $40 a month then lower the prices to 1/4 that and more people will be willing to pay the lower cost so 1000 people paying $10 would = to the same amount of money..
250X40=10000
1000X10=10000

Re: If Joymax sold their company...
or we could do it the ncsoft way
buy 1 time, play free forever. Buy expansion, and play them free forever.
One time buy =D
But i think sro does not have enough content to be up there with Warhammer 14.99$

Re: If Joymax sold their company...
I would say Blizzard, they have great customer support. They care about their game, and reputation.
So what if its P2P, we already have to pay to log on...
I personally wouldn't mind paying $14.99 USD/month to play this game.
And bot bans would actually be consistent and accurate.
Just my 2 cents.

The problem is some people cant pay, no means. 10-20$ month is not much but some people, like me cant buy, no credit card, no pay pal etc.
But if game becomes p2p they must remove Item mall, otherwise its same shit no matter how much cheaper is.

Re: If Joymax sold their company...
Lol Blizzard? Are you guys serious? Sure let's buy the expansion to a new update.
If Joymax does give up the international rights or NA/EU for Silkroad I wouldn't mind to pay to play. As long as the SP requirement is greatly reduce along with exp greatly increased. Cash still in it? I'd still be fine with it, but only if the cash shop prices weren't retardly priced. Perfect example.. avatar suits($13 for a new look.. sure cool n all, but not really worth the money in the end), res scrolls(lol? Srsly its like $5 for a few scrolls), and half the shit that sits in there.

If it went p2p they should have a game card system like WoW. Be able to buy them from large stores like Toys R Us and Walmart (or Asda as its called in England).
I would pay for p2p.

We should start collecting money with donations and buy our own SRO license.

If I was Joymax, I wouldn't sell it unless someone with a huge offer showed up. I wouldn't care about what reputation I had. I'm making money, and as a business that's what matters.

To start on a new project?
Company Owner gave up on Joymax... sells it ?
We don't know, besides that's not what the thread is about, it is about who you would trust if Silkroad had a new owner.

They have two other projects currently going. Deco Online and Dark Eden. Both probably funded by the income from Silkroad. They would be stupid to sell it unliess, like I said, someone with a huge offer came in.
