kinda just wondering

Post by JustOnePlz »

is there an acually way to detect the bot program and stop it from even starting so that JM maybe could start using it or they going to ban the bots 30-50 at a time on the "massive" bot punishment list?

i mean im all for just pay a GM to sit in all the towns and just ban the bots as the return to town, sure they have to pay a few ppl, but i mean less bots = more players, more players = more silk buying( or atleast one would assume )

please gimme your input on the situation...

There are easy ways to detect bots, they just want money. Game is past the point of saving..when the majority of your income is based on bots, why would they want to get rid of them.

If your all for payin a GM to sit in town then you might as well go try some other games. There are plenty of P2P mmorpgs that has active GMs and alot less botters

I really dont understand Joymax. What they think, how new players will react when they see current condition of silkroad. I mean you download game, start it and cant even log in. Im sure 98% of them unistall game right away, I know I would.

Joymax can do everything and anything. You guys are like "why havent they thought of that, or why dont they do this" etc, they know all that, they know the current state of sro. Everything they do or try is to maximize their profit, and atm, their idea of getting the most profit is to not ban the botters and leave the servers full so people are tempted to buy Premiums, simple.

I understand what you saying, and you are right. But im curious how they dont think about future of game, eventually all of us that play now is gona quit, who will continue to play if new players cant even log in to try game? Do they really think someone who downloaded game for the first time is gona spend 1 hour to log in lol?

when i first downloaded the game it wouldnt work on my gc, so i bought a new 100$ one after a week of being depressed because my friend showed me this really awsome game and i couldnt play. then i started it up finaly and was amazed at the start up because it was so cool. i went to log on, and every server is full. so i spent 4 hours trying to log in. got in finaly and played like a half hour and logged off lol. had to sleep ><

Hmm .. take it like this legit players are lets say 10% of all the players [at most] say that legits will quit ... people who are using bots to level and farm won't care about that and the servers will still be full.
Silkroad is making alot of profit. If i were CEO I wouldn't fix the game at all in the end it's all 'bout the benjamins right?

They don't care. Would you rather get 100$ in the next 5 minutes of work, or risk getting 100$ and maybe more/maybe less over the next 5 months of work. The fastest way to get the most money with the least risk is win.

lol they do and if you read some of the latest reviews they all basically say silkroad is shit.

Even on download.com, i remember the time when this game was considered "1 of the best you can get for free"

which really makes me sad
