No, it only prevents from getting red status "Maximiun Durability Readuce" in case it doesnt destroy going for +6.

Buy 5 weapons, buy a lot of weapon elixers, try to +4 all weapons in hotan ^^ > if they fail +2/3 easely, go to downhang and try again > can try jang if you want aswell.
Then when they are all +4, type "+5 pleaseee" and click fuse > just go on after the first one (probs) fails ^^ i usualy make 1/2/3 +5's like that. i do the same for +6, just when i have 3/4/5 weapons at +5
With +7, i put on a lucky > fail a few weapons, try the +5 ones i have to +6, and if they fail i try +7 on the wep i want to +7 (if it works i dont, and repeat the same thing >.<)

i tryed to +7 today, failed, durability reduced to like 85/85
made it +6 today again, tryed +7, failed, durability reduced to 20/20
im not trying it again, tho these are lucky axes, easily goes +5, but since durability is f**ed up, not trying it again, and lucky stones cost alot @_@

EDIT:
im not leaving it like this, oh nooo man xD
since theyre lucky axes, ill start making money again, make durability like 100% (60%), i think 160% (100%)
so if i grant at least 100% durbability will be fixed to about 80-100, which is enough for me
ill beat the sh*t out of alchemy next time!

umm i would say at +6 it would sell for about 2.5bil maybe 2bil... at +7 probably 3 bil... idk stall it in Hotan and DW and global and get some offers.. ask around.. gratz on the drops and +6 btw..
