LoL

It's a big, red, glowing thing with glyphs on it. It will take on the name of whatever mob you have targeted when it's used.

I don't think you can spawn the bot on yourself. It'll probably take the name of whatever mob you targeted last.

nProtect Gameguard is back! I hope it sweeps all botters out of the game so that there's more slots for regular players (=>less connection probs) :D

nah, just like anti-adware programs, the botters can adjust their progs faster than gameguard can keep up. it'll catch older ones, but new bots come out all the time.

personally, i don't bot, but that's because i play the game to have fun with friends. if i saw a botter, i might kill it, but only if it was KSing me or generally making a nuisance of itself. it's not like the botter loses anything when you kill them. it'll just respawn, and pretty soon it'll have that 2% back. and all without the player lifting a finger....

This is depressing hearing about bots. :(

I've had protectors before, but I never knew what they did or how to use them. So you just click on a mob and use the protector?

That's correct. Target a nearby mob and then rightclick the protector. It will spawn next to/near by the mob you targetted. Nice to catch lightning-user bots, like jancquille. :]

I can totally understand why people do it. The game design sucks. There shouldn't have to be "kill 1000 of these"-quests. It's got nothing to do with skill or good builds, just clicking and clicking and clicking...

clicking and clicking and clicking can get very boring too, especially when you do 5 of those types of quests in a row :) :)

you can click on the target and activate your shortcuts with only the mouse...

sooooo... instead of botting, one hand play, and teach yourself one hand origami!

I'm sorry, but last time I checked the only way to play PC games was with a keyboard or mouse (maybe a usb controller device, but they suck) so you have no room to complain. If it's that bad then just stop "clicking" send me your PC in the mail, and do something productive with your life :)

actually if i'm grinding i really don't use my keyboard hand much. i use my mouse wheel for imbue, double click enemies to attack, and right click on pots if i need them. the only time i use my left hand is if i accidently use it to cast grasswalk flow instead of using my mouse for it.

this way i can smoke and drink with my left easier ^_____^

ok botters are in their simplest terms.. someone who uses a third party software to control their character in game while not at keyboard. so you can go to work or school and the bot is still grinding, you go to sleep bot is still grinding you go to.. well you get the picture.

Protectors are something you can buy at npc shop for 500. you click the mob a botter is near and it'll take the name of that mob. so when the botter moves on to neext target which will be protector if you place it right, they will automatically atk it. when it dies it is an insta-gib (instant kill) on that player. regardless of bots hp.

generally i always have protectors in my inventory. i hate botters - hate that they are so lazy, hate that they are so lame, hate that they are just losers who would do anything including cheating to "be the best" at an online game. i play the game for the fun of the game itself not to prove anything to others around me.

why do i kill bots you ask??? simple: i am out there grinding away, trying to level or quest and these jackasses are taking my kills. simple as that.

also i believe there is a thread on how to spot a bot if you are interested.
