Just got this this morning.
I got this email this morning, figured I might not be the only one. So... beware, this is not Joymax. Note that the email was blocked because the email was goofy. Hopefully no one falls for it. xP

Because Joymax is known for the perfect English they use and the base of SRO players have very good English skills ?
edit: where is the real link to? because the one displayed seems rather normal.

I have no idea how he got it, thats what bugs me. I thought about it when I opened the email. I am pretty sure that it isn't the same email I use for silk though, so I don't really need to worry. xP

Nah, when I do that it says there are no documents found. xP Dunno how they got it, but again, I am not too worried.
Re: Just got this this morning.
I had this too, and the link doesnt link to joymax, it links to a free hosting site that has basically copied the template of Joymax's password change site.
You can make it show as a different link by using url tags. Like http://www.joymax.com, Actually links to google, not JM.
You can tell its fake because the fonts are different and there is no image verification on the site.

Well, I knew it was fake. xP Read the first post completely. This is sort of a warning to all those who may have gotten one, or may get one. Its not Joymax, so dun do it. xP

Re: Just got this this morning.
It's simple, they show the link "Joymax.com/bla/blabla-prebla=as" and when you click on it you will be redirected to another site. It's simple, look at the name of my link and where you will get to.
http://www.joymax.com/sro/downloads/SRoBoten1_337.exe
That's the simple trick.

Re: Just got this this morning.
I guess this is one good + to JM not caring about us players. We know JM would never send out emails warning about things like this instance.

Re: Just got this this morning.
Well, after some digging i found out how this can be done.
All you need, is some free hosting, and some other tools or alot of free time.
Aparently, there is a tool that allows you to search php forums for Website and Email addresses, and then you can mass email them.
Its a pretty clever way of doing it. I've seen sites like that with game clients, which are actually keyloggers / viruses.
So just beware of any emails you get from 'Joymax'. They will never email you asking you to change your email, password or other details, and if they do, always check the official site first, and dont do anything if it looks at all suspecious.
Also, report the email to Hotmail or whoever as a phishing scam, so they can ban the Email address used, and take legal action if nessecery.
