Thinking of returning to SRO

Hey guys, I don't know how many people remember me, but I played on Aege a while back. I quit iSRO and tried WoW out for a bit but it got pretty boring after a while. I've been reading forums recently to try to get caught up in all the new things that have been patched since I've been gone.

So, any server suggestions for getting started up on a hopefully low-bot-population, easy-to-login server? Any guilds willing to help me get caught up or at least help me get started? I was thinking of going Wizard/Bard or Cleric/Bard for full support.

Hey Lotri, I remember you!! =]

Alot has changed in silkroad, but as there will always be drama. And even on the new servers I think its almost impossable to log on. I find the servers do have times when they arent full to capcity, but that would require with no ticket to stay constantly logged on to save agravation. Though you should take chesticles adive, though I didnt follow his advice. =/

For server suggestion, I will beat everyone to it and say go Venus. =P

Heh.. that was the best thing about WoW private servers. Put in a 12-hour commitment to hit level cap, then you only need to be on a few hours per day to raid with your guild. Anyways, I used to be really active on the SRTavern forum since it was mostly Aege players on there, but the forum's pretty inactive now. =(

Back to the topic of servers, is Venus the highest non-bot population? I want a server where I can get a good party going pretty quickly. Also, regarding builds, would bard-sub, or cleric-sub be more popular for party spots?

*edit* Decided to get on Venus. Any of the legit guilds recruiting a wizard? I haven't set up my sub-class yet, but leaning towards cleric.

Well, it was Rhapsody / Insanity / Shinsei-Divinity-Lunaria / BrosInArms / Champion / ChampionZ from the top of my head. In the end before I quit, I was pretty much hanging out with the remaining BiA players and ChampionZ. Time for a new start on Venus, I guess.

Well, it was Rhapsody / Insanity / Shinsei-Divinity-Lunaria / BrosInArms / Champion / ChampionZ from the top of my head. In the end before I quit, I was pretty much hanging out with the remaining BiA players and ChampionZ. Time for a new start on Venus, I guess.

Heh, that's fine with me. I used to run from Jangan to Hotan ressing all the dead people I saw on Aege when I got bored ^^

why not try a private server with better rates? rather spend 2 odd months to get to cap even with 70 skills (90 cap) then taking 6+ months on isro

btw i was in brosinarms for a short while dont ask what name ;p

Yeah.. I know about the private server. But I've been hearing about it being hard to log on with only 1k spots on the server. Plus, there isn't Euro. The only reason I'm on iSRO is to play Euro.
