In the US preliminaries, traditionally you are forced to use an int hybrid, and I believe the balances are 69% phys and 70% mag. In later rounds, you get to put extra stat points into this hybrid. In the final round in Korea, you choose your build.


Looking at the comments here, I'd suggest that some of you pay more attention to Chinese PvP before commenting on it. Ice blade and glaive were offensively weak but overall they were spectacular builds in the 60 cap and 70 cap, prior to ice immunity. Ice immunity is impossible in these fights, so it makes sense that they would be viable builds. Also with bleed and division, even an ice blader can deal significant damage.

Yeah, there's no reason to participate in an tournament where you have very unexciting PvP's in a video game you are probably addicted to for a chance to win $5000. It's very dumb.

Well, the past two years, that's how the prelims were for everyone.

Even chances for everyone? Being forced to make the best possible build out of what is given to you? That's what needs skill, not having a kick ass set...

Btw. it was clever of him to use this build imo, took some wins with it.

But yeah, a PVP with pimped gear and weapons might be more spectacular, but less "fair"... I know that on the actual servers nobody cares about "fairness", but for this competition JM seem to care.

its good that there aint pimped gear involved, would be funny though if they just gave everyone full sosun gear, all with the same stats 0% or such and no blues, but i would also choose for ice as imbue and be an hybrid archer or pure str blader, since pure str archer would suck cause of crit 2 on ur weap

every bower of my group reached the finals...only whose was fighting against me not

btw...JM organized only 2 GNGWC atm (german & egyptian)...i guess more events like this are coming soon (turkish, american, brasilian etc...).
just check every day the SRO news.

America (August 29)
Germany (Already happened)
Brazil (Sept 12)

And supposedly planned for Turkey and Egypt.

So no, it wasn't the "first" one, but it's going to happen.

Ya thats what i meant. Theyre is rounds for the 3 countries and maybe there will be Turkish and Egypt. I wonder if the gms speak english for all the rounds or if they speak langauge specific for each round.
IE. German round speak german etc..

if the american finals start 29th august, then the german gng will be first, because our finals start 21st august
