Zing makes an interesting point. Botters compare themselves to legits because both got to the top of the mountain yet one climbed and one took a helicopter. This is a forum (a base camp, if you will) for the people that climbed the mountain, not the people who took the helicopter. Sometimes the climbers like to talk about their climbing experience and congratulate each other on it. Don't like that? Bummer.

Did the OP and the people who agree with him ever think that for some legitimate players, pride may be the very thing keeping them from cheating?

If cheating is something to be ashamed of, then playing by the rules should be something to be proud of, even more so when there is plenty of opportunity to cheat.

Maybe people are cofusing pride with arrogance / being a dick. You can be quietly proud.
