The Gentlemen's Trade Association (guild name TheGentlemen) has now opened on the Athens server.

We are a guild for traders, hunters and thieves who feel that it's more fun to play in an honest and helpful way. We are all about having fun and creating a good gaming experience for everyone.

Guild rules include but are not limited to:

1 ) Be helpful towards new players.
- You were all n00bs at one point or another, and I don't think you liked being picked on then. So don't do it just because you've reached lvl whatever.

2 ) Do not attack guild or alliance members, even if they have murderer status.

3 ) No cheating, no bots.
- Monkeys are the exception. Yes, they are bots and no, I don't like them one bit, but as long as you use them to pick up your own stuff, that's fine by me.

4 ) If you're a thief, be a gentleman.
- Do not draw your high level NPC thieves to attack 1 star caravans. Do not use any tricks to attack 1-star traders. Be a gentleman, even if you are a thief. Do not steal other people's drops. This includes your monkey. If your monkey picks up another player's item and he asks you to give it back, please do.

5 ) Do not killsteal.
- Yes, that goes for giants as well.

6 ) Help your fellow traders.
- If another trader is attacked, help him unless it poses a direct threat to your own life (in other words, if you're lvl 20, you're not expected to help someone who is attacked by a lvl 40 thief).

7 ) Be civil.
- Do not throw tantrums when people do you wrong. Tell them politely that you feel mistreated and try to make them see the error of their ways.

8 ) No cheating n00bs (or others) by deliberatly marking up prices.
- I've seen new players asking where they could buy arrows, and people with stalls telling them to come there and buy, selling them arrows for two, three or four times as much as they cost at the blacksmith. This is neither cool nor honorable.

9 ) Try to help your fellow guild members if they need help.

10 ) All guild information and discussions are confidential.

11 ) All guild members must be able to communicate effortlessly in English.

12 ) All guild members are expected to read and participate in our private forum.
- Guild messages and other important information will mainly be posted there.

Please do not apply for membership unless you feel that you can live up to these rules.

We are looking for:

Traders - lvl 25 and up
Hunters - lvl 25 and up (lvl 30 and up prefered)
Healers - lvl 25 and up
Thieves - lvl 25 and up

About 6 places left at the moment.

I'll be on from 5pm EST and later, I was considering going dual class Hunter and Trader.

Marcato if you already have a trader established we should try for a trade run later, we can work out the details in private, sneaky sneaky theives.

Calling all guild members!

We'll probably hit 5400 Guild Points tonight or tomorrow, which will make it possible to upgrade the guild to level 2 (more members, the ability to form alliances and to use the warehouse when that is implemented).

Well, besides the 5400 GP needed, it also costs 3,000,000 gold to upgrade. So, if you could all set aside a little cash every now and then that would be awesome, because there is no way I'm gonna come up with 3 million on my own any time soon.

Yeah more people need to join up! Currently at 4978/5400. And we're not even full yet!

I know. We have two or three people who want to join, but noneof them have contacted me in the game yet.

And yeah, it's at 95% now. Couldn't contribute anymore cause I gotta run off for work. Contributed as much as I could from all that grinding and quest completion.

It's probably better if you whisper Kard, he has authority to grant membership. I'll be playing mostly with my new character for a while.

We now have our own private forum here at Silkroadforums. I've added those I know are members of the guild. If I've forgotten anyone, I apologise. Send me a pm and I'll add you to the group.

The forum will be used to handle in-guild issues, keeping track of people who use bots, exploit flaws in the game etc.

How do go to this private forum that's for our guild? You probably might want to pm us about how to get there, instead of replying in the thread.
