Can anyone pls tell me what's the point of a guild war?

I mean, if 2 guilds are near to each other by lvls of guildies, and one guild has a lvl80 guy who can own the whole guild alone.. I dont get it. How to organize a guild war, and to make it fair?

anyway guildwar option no longer works so u can say goodbye to wars

I think there going to dramaticly change the guild war system and as
such have taken it down while they do... frankly without guildwars, this
game would be even more boring
