my dsl route has 5 lights ok?

1 for if its on
1 for i dunt know
1 for dsl
1 for internet
1 for activity

first 4 should be all green except the last one should be flashing, but now the internet one wouldnt be green, its not lit up, i tried everything.

right now iam at my laptop and i connected to a random wirless network that wasnt protected, but i need to use my home computer.

it happened before but i would leave it an hour then it would work again, but this time i wont, and my isp is probably closed now and i need my home computer to do a hw, and iam pretty sure a teacher wont buy that execuse.

Have you tried reseting your router or modem?

ya, i unplugges and restarted a few times, also i restarted the computer, and when i do repair, it stuck on the first step which is renewing ip address, i renewed manually but still not working =/

Reset the router to default settings, not disconnect the power.

Should be able to do it through the routers setting in your browser, or look at your router and try to find a reset button to push.

Ohh, I know how you solve this, but I forgot. I forgot the IP address solution. DAM! It's something like go to the router site, the number things [220.watever]. First look at your IP addresses and then go to that number site and u do something, but I forgot, sorry. My sister knows, but shes in college.

This happened to me last month.
I called my provider and turns out the cable to the wall jack was not plugged in correctly.

let me double check all the wires

EDIT: fixed, i was restarting the dsl router but never restarted the other wireless router >_>
