Hey guys ,

Just want to ask you to help me find some music ,
i've never listened to rock (well i did , but not that i liked it or something)
So i downloaded few albums today , Cold - the year of the spider , 30 seconds to mars - a beautifull lie , and few more ...
And whoa i cant stop listening xD , i just have no clue about rock bands , so i ask to just tell me what do you listen to

big thanks :P

folkish sound is always nice
the decemberists get The "Island: Come & See / The Landlord's Daughter / You'll Not Feel The Drowning" best 12 min ever inmo
and bright eyes get "four winds"
and modest mouse get "cowboy dan"

tapes 'n tapes- jackov's suit, lines, conquest

megadeath, slayer, and anthrax for my adrenaline

interpol- nyc, pda, not even jail, and leif erickson

my taste is quite odd

Newer albums of Voivod would be good. For a bit different style take Tool and Disturbed.

Try Sonata Arctica. It's not really rock. It's more like melodic metal but still it's awesome !! Just try it out and you might realize that it is the best band on world (imo). Check from youtube.

Couple good songs from Sonata Arctica:

They are legendary. Not very heavy, but a bit psyhodelic imo. Still, win.

I'm into the heavy stuff too. But Pink Floyd are epic, and deserve everyones respect. Good for resting or something. And listening to while ganja is included. ;)

Yeah system of a down is good.

Theres a german band named Tokio Hotel, they are the kind of band that are not known anywhere outside europe but inside europe all the girls are obsessed with them :P . If you ask any german guy on sro i gaurantee you he will hate them but they have awesome songs. They have songs in english but they are often a bit different especially with der letzte tag, mainly with the way the vocals are don (not words but pitch etc).

Listen too (all tokio hotel):
Wo Sind Eure Hande
Der Letzte tag/Final day
Freunde Bleiben
Ready Set Go/Ubers Ende Der Welte
Beichte
Reden
