You all do know that pirates did NOT actually ever used those words or spoke like that,
infact all those supposed pirate words and sayings were first used in the 1940's movie
"Treasure Island", where the actor playing 'Long John Silver' started to use that stupid
voice/accents and make up words at random just to sound different.
and after a while it just got stuck and everyone assumed that is what pirates sound like,
but infact depending from where they came from they just sounded like normal people...just
more aggressive and what not.

I liked the book, though what you say is right.
And i thought it was only "Pirate day"
I guess the black guys cant swim day will have to be cancelled too
