Dont buy the samsung, its horrid. So is the LG.
Take the C902, or the C702. The W980 is great, but as you said, expensive.

anyone miss phones like this

back when you could throw them to take out small children and they'd still work fine, take them underwater and still get service, use them as a jack for your car without fear of breaking...
...those were the days

Those phones were brilliant. Like the Nokia 6310/6210, Nokia even stopped fabricating those because no1 ever returned one for rapairs, or had the desire to switch phones.
Brilliant.

I'm not saying those things without knowledge to back it up. I sell those phones for a living for a large provider in the Netherlands, I know what i'm talking about when i say that at the moment, the U900 is in the top3 of most brought back phones for repairs.
And i'm not talking about like ten phones then...
You being lucky doesn't mean it's not a horrible phone.

The mobile phone industry is pretty cool at the moment. I don't live for it, but meh, it's a hobby. Anyways, just trying to help out, ultimatly it's your own choice ofc. If you get wet for that multitouch screen of the U900, then for all sakes get it.

Mmmm, i'm due to renewing my subscription soonish, and i honestly wouldnt know what phone to get. Got a N73 now, which is horrid slow, but ok-ish. Might get an Iphone, but then again, i allready have an ipod touch, and the phone functions on the iphone are rubbish. N96 might be cool, i have yet to have had it in my hands so dunno.
And that leaves.... HTC. The HTC touch diamond looks stunning, and has cool functions, but is also slow as hell, plus it has windows, which... well we all know what. The Touch diamond pro is coming out soon, dunno if its faster and more stable, hope so. Atleast it has a keyboard.
The nokia E series are not very interesting.
So... i rly dont know.. hard times.

except that all things are automatic now, like the lens cover.
friend of my brother had to bring his k850i back after 1 week
because the lens cover wouldnt open anymore. my brother bought
the k810i, which is a great phone, and you can still do stuff
manually so there's less chance of a fail.
