9/11/2008 Happy birthday!

Post by Squirt »

Why are people still sad about this it already happened you can't take back the past =/.
Its happened but people still celebrate it is what catches my attention the most.

Also in school they make us like stand up for like 2 minutes of silence. I just sit I couldn't care less.

I think its pointless to make a holiday for it.
Also I feel bad for a muslim kid in my school the kids are going to pick on him because they Think it was muslims that hit the buildings.

Yes I know, But people should just forget about it. It happened they cant turn back time. And they should stop blaming the muslims for everything that happens. everyone thinks its their fault.

They should forget about 9/11 like they forgot about the Rugrats

If you ever lose someone close to you, wait a few years then see if you feel sad about it >.>.

Not to mention its a kinda big event in history, and should not be forgotten anyway.

the day changed the whole world, reminding everyone that noone is safe.

I'm not quite sure if i'm supposed to be happy or sad to have experienced it.

But i definitely think it should be remembered

A post count isn't a good enough qualification for anything, it is meaningless either way.

Freshman year, my future government teacher said this to his first class:
"Something special happened today, extra credit to whoever gets it right" (his birthday)

Then that whole WTC thing happened. He was like "oh shit..."

I'm of the mentality that if you're going to spend a day remembering one tragedy, you should make an effort to remember them all.

The people who died that day are no more heroic than those who died in the tsunami back in 2004, or hurricane Katrina, etc. They all deserve remembrance, but to favor one event over others is ridiculous to me.

Call me a conspiracy freak but I would rather not sulk myself into such a bs 9/11 tribute moment. I agree with Reise, I don't believe this tragedy deserves any more credit than the others that happened in our past, what about tragedys and genocides that happen outside the country? Those people are hopeless and unquestioned. It makes me sick to see us mourn for the 21st century Gulf of Tonkin mimic. No thanks =)
