statistics and experts can be wrong. Wouldn't really take anything this guy they interviewed seriously, is and 86 year old anti-war activist.

Real reason is globalization by foreign countries that were either not in a position to globalize or had an isolationist viewpoint. After WWII the U.S. got a huge boost for the economy and the war torn countries had a difficult time to rebuild. The cold war further set 3rd worlds back and ever since then the U.S. has been urging every country to globalize. Guess what? They did, and, coincidentally around the same time as the Iraq war (a bit after actually) this resulted in the growth of many countries, and in the global economy the U.S. starts to decline because of these smaller countries now getting a bigger share of the global market.
NOT THE WAR IN IRAQ!
