I think 51 degrees is normal considering that I have heard of video cards running at 80+ degrees but I dont really know

My E7200 Core 2 Duo runs around 23 C doing just browsing and caps out at like 30 C playing WoW.

Graphics is usually between 50-60% at 80% fan speed.

I need to overclock my stuff. Should be able to get a decent boost with just the stock fans.

I have AMD Live but I'm not sure about the numbers. I have asked online and I heard not to worry until it hits around +80*C then there could be a Little to worry about.

Make sure your computer is getting enough air flow, mine is at a fair rate and I use a fan in the summer just because I'm cautious like that.

I'm at 50*C on the one and 49*C on the other.
I've hit up around 76*C when playing something like CSS.

All I got up is ventrillo Aim and Youtube vid playing music and this forums.

Just open your computer like every 6 months and sweep out the dust. Clean the outside vents and fans on the back about every week or every other week. Just be smart about it don't open it when its on. :banghead: Read a guide first if you don't know how.

Only when I get the warning from Core Temp ill start worrying. I will test it later with COD4.

My pentium duo core runs really hot. Like you, its 50°c or something just browsing and it can get pretty high while gaming.

I have a zalman cooling fan, its this giant monster and I have to clean it once a week or theres problems. I also play with the case off. If I put the case on, my system over heats. And I added 2 additional fans to the case. So I dunno why.

But yeah when it gets hot, my FPS drop to like 10 or so instead of 60.

I looked into liquid cooling, briefly, and decided it was a pain in the ass and the radiator alone used 600W of power. -.-

Hmm, I own a HP pavillion, anyone knows a good coolingsystem for me?

Not too expensive, like 30-40 euro.

Mines runs in the 30s no matter what I do. My fans used to go all out at 100%, but since I got arctic cooling on my video card, my case fans barely run. The only way you can tell my PC is on is from the lights.

Only downside is that the card is Farking huge

The program asus use for monitoring temps is crap. Most people use speedfan now. I also use rivatuner for my graphics card because it works better than speedfan for that.

Nope. My wife has an AMD single-core 2800 and when I first installed it, it hit 51c idle. I reapplied Arctic Silver 5 and dropped the temps to about 38c.

My X2 3800 oc'd to 2.4 ghz runs about 48c and that's a little hot, but it's warm in the computer room.

It's not going to hurt anything, but if you're overclocking 51c is a bit high.

http://www.alcpu.com/CoreTemp/ this is what I use for my cpu, it measures cores separately

If its below 70°C you shouldn't worry much :P

Intel Pentium 4 Dual Core @ 3ghz with a Zalaman CNPS cooler, both cores hold anywhere from 37 - 45 depending on air room temperature since it get really really hot here.
