Tropic Thunder was pretty funny, Tom Cruise stole the show. I wouldn't pay to go see it in theaters again.
Out of the 3 you listed, Dark Knight is spectacular, Step Brothers looks like the stereotypical Will Ferrel movie that will be compared to his good ones, but will ultimately just be a rehash and I wouldn't even consider going to Mamma Mia because I would probably shoot myself halfway through.

Tropic Thunder is 100% pure class, very funny film...but i havent seen a film this year better then Dark Knight.

Yup, Dark Knight is the best movie of this year yet, but it's not a movie you go to with your girlfriend, unless you already have a long relationship and you both want to see the movie.

Seriously. Asking what movie to take a girl to on a date is bad enough. But when its your girlfriend who YOU should know. Your relationship is doomed for EPIC FAIL.
Those saying that he should go see a chick flick its BS. I've never been to see a chick flick with my girlfriend, I always make her watch the action movies. Sure she bitches about it, but who cares. She enjoys the movies, even if they aren't chick flicks.
