Blackbird 002- A good buy?

Some of my relatives work at HP, so I'm of course going to lean towards the HP brand. (Possible 50% discount W00H00!!!)
Since they have acquired VoodooPC, would it be worth it to get the Blackbird 002? Specifically for high FPS, Source FTW.
((I'm really hoping for people who OWN one to comment... but heck if you know something that's hard to find with normal research, I'd love to hear about it.))

http://h20435.www2.hp.com/exhilaration/I'm planning on buying the exhilaration edition, just checking out if it's really worth it.
And its only a possible 50% discount because the company a relative of mine works for just got bought out by HP, so I think this is a once in a lifetime kinda thing for me. Course they are going to buy it for me, so I can't buy you a computer... Just mail 3,300 to my cousin, and you can expect a Walmart E-machine!
*edit* Not tricked out or anything, I'm just going to take apart my old computer to add anything truly special. Just the standard exhilaration version.

starting at $6,600
LOL
even with a 50% discount, you could build a better computer with $3,000.

Fudge... worst case scenario I sell a $6,600 computer for $5,000.
And nobody loses.
On top of that, I have enough stuff to bring the computer up in performance.. its all just scattered around in bins.

That's 0-2.
I'm just jumping on a 1/2 price... I'm looking into re-selling it now...

No, you could build a really nice one that would probably beat that for 2k, don't waste and extra $1.3k

There are enough steam users.. and enough people (Like I) who would love to be able to play CS:S and then take a 20 minute break for CTF, without having to log in =D
I used to be able to do that.

Yeah, because a 3k computer can out perform it.

if your willing to spend 3.3k on a computer that you can build yourself for like 2k.. just find a nice, cheap alienware.

Dom knows his PC/LLLLLOOOOLLL xD. (What computer do ya have, Dom?)
I'm probably going to buy the thing, not scratch, hurt, or touch it.
Then, in one year, I'll ebay it whilst still taking a little (1100+) profit.
And Inuyasha, I've got no problem with building, but a bigger problem with parts >.<
*Too lazy to remove any accidental sexual innuendo.*

A computer that costs double the price only performs marginally better, and the prices drop exponentially over time. Not to mention the moment it reaches your hands, and out of HP's hands, the value will be cut to roughly half, just because it's not from a retailer or factory.
For those reasons, it's best to build a computer (which isn't rocket science, anyone with opposable thumbs can do it (it's like a lego kit for toddlers) with computer parts that are one generation lower than cutting edge.
Right now that would mean a computer running a Q6660/E8400 and an 8800. The performance isn't that different than the top stuff, but the price is fractional.
__________________________________________________________________________
Let me illustrate (This is just to illustrate that double prices doesn't mean double performance - and someone bookmark this for the next fucktard that says "LULLLLLLL IM GETTIN A 4k COMPUTAR N IS GONNA POON U")

Let me reassure you that the prices aren't as close as the performance.

I used to be able to do that.
I can do that with my $500 laptop, while also running trackmania, ventrilo, msn, winamp, firefox, limewire
