Hey, hey stop it.

You just got unlucky. Icealya is just retarded sometimes... Other than that they don't mean it in an angry way.

Proxies have different goals, but the main reason I use a proxy are: speed improvement and performance: caching proxies keep a copy of common websites and serve it without going to the actual website. and other people can use the same proxy site, it's nothing usual about it.

Maybe not retarded but fairly obnoxious from time to time.

And yes I can be hostile if you post lame vids.
Seriously if your 7th post is a crappy, obnoxious and lame vid I'm bound to be hostile.

Too bad for you, but you have become a social reject =[ You have made a bad first impression. It is going to take some effort to improve your rating amongst the menz and womenz.

Bullshit. Lol, still waiting for the day SRF bans all proxy's.

it's not Bullshit.
You know, many people use proxy, and there is not only one proxy.
example. At schools and offices

Many work places and schools restrict the web sites and online services that are made available in their buildings. Since circumventors are used to bypass censors in computers, social networking and other sites deemed a waste of time or resources have become targets of mass banning.

Proxy Web server creators have become more sophisticated, allowing users to encrypt links and any data going to and from other web servers. This allows users to access websites that would otherwise have been blocked.

A special case of web proxies are "CGI proxies". These are web sites that allow a user to access a site through them. They generally use PHP or CGI to implement the proxy functionality. These types of proxies are frequently used to gain access to web sites blocked by corporate or school proxies. Since they also hide the user's own IP address from the web sites they access through the proxy, they are sometimes also used to gain a degree of anonymity, called "Proxy Avoidance".

If you post a vid it should be a good one.
Else you're bound to be flamed and rejected.

Oh don't forget about shunning and stoning.

You joined 13 days ago, posting on a proxy, and are complaining that there's been a recent increase of hostility, over the 13 days you've been here that is, am I understanding this right?
or are you one of those people who just made an account and have been lurking for a year.

yadayadayada and you're using a proxy because of this? It's the same old arguement being used over and over again.
last time you said it helped your slow connection to get a bit faster..

yes you have almost correct, have just been in this forum approx one months and made the accound 13 days ago. mosiac

it's was only example, why other use a proxy, and like I said "Proxies have different goals", and it does help me MrBow

Some proxy server does web caching thus gives you extra WWW (and partially FTP) speed. Idea is very simple: client program tries to retrieve the requested document not from the real location, but from cache/proxy. If cache/proxy does not find this document in its cache space it downloads it and returns to the client..

That only offers an improvement in speed if someone other than you from SRF uses the proxy and if the pages are static. It's dynamic content and your PC will cache it as well.

Not to mention that an increase in speed wouldn't mean much seeing the size of the content downloaded on each page.

Can we address this on a case-by-case basis? Mods already have the capability to look at the ip and know where it's from. You already know I surf from work as anyone can read the IP and see the proxy/firewall. Some of us have a little time to do that.

Now others want to hide and troll...in that case, no.

I know dom, I am not expert but it's working for me, and sure the speed increase for me alot.

BTW: pr0klobster, it's little different, it doesn´t show where you come from, not the real place you live. I know

But can we leave this topic now.
