HELP MY MUM IS ABOUT TO KILL ME

I had to change routers for my internet coz the old one was stuffing up and now the internet it totally fcked up. It take like 40 seconds to load a webpage and my mum has an ebay auction ending soon and shes really pissed so please help me make it faster somehow :S

40 seconds to load? Might be a DNS issue. To verify, find the IP address to a website, and check if it loads instantly when using the IP address in stead of the name of the website. If it IS a DNS issue, check if perhaps the primary DNS of the router is unavailable (or perhaps incorrect?).

A host or nslookup command would do the trick.
A little easier solution: compare
http://www.nu.nl and
http://62.69.184.29
