Alien sighting? Silly marketing ploy?
I was listening to the radio on the way home from work and heard a rather interesting story. After a tad of google searching it lead me to this article, i think it hasn't been posted on SRF yet.
http://www.news.com.au/story/0,23599,24 ... 62,00.html
Personally i beleive its just a stupid little ploy by the mass media to help boost ratings, but im cynical like that.
Anyone got opinions? Anyone actually beleive it could be possible?

It's just a dead animal that's been out at sea to long. the way it looks like it was tied up and thrown off the side of the boat. thing couldn't swim and died.

It's look like a pig or so. But what if it's really a mutant under the US government? What the heck. X-men? LOL

Please click and help me with my little game. Don't worry it's not a link to a virus filled site or anything harmful. It's just like those links to help a little dragon grow thingie.

It says it on the article you just posted:
Meanwhile, gawker.com, which helped break the story, has sought to explain the phenomenon as a viral marketing stunt for a new US TV cartoon series.
If it's true, I wonder what others they're planning to make. xD
And I hope that's not a real animal.

I was more thinking of it on a "larger" scale. Multiple world media representatives meet, discuss the current state of affairs, decide to spend a little bit of money creating some kind of stunt and for the next few days weep in the profits of being able to spam it. This is just the kind of activity that would draw peoples interest, its "unique" and out of the ordinary.

Everyone relax and go about your daily day normally. Its merely swamp gas. That is all. Forget you even saw it, better yet remove the link as it is a waste of time. This should be locked to prevent further confusion of the swamp gas with extra-terrestrial life, thats just silly. You don't want to sound silly do you, no. So ignore it. Ignore the swamp gas.

dead alien, thats silly. The logical explanation is swamp gas. I said that. Don't you believe me. It certainly makes more sense that aliens ha ha ha. No you should just ignore this thread, stop looking at it. Act as if you never saw it. Why isn't it locked yet....

I bet when Alexander saw elephants for the first time, especially in battle, he didn't think it was a marketing ploy. But then again, a giant mammal charging at you has more credibility than a photo on the internet.
