Yeah, symbols have different meanings for people. Sometimes they are stolen and changed around. One fact I found most people don't know is the pentagram was a Christian symbol once. It represented the wounds of Christ and was used for protection. I also found out there is a old church that they can still be found in. That's just one more example of how symbols get changed around. You will still find people saying it's evil though just like with many other symbols. The peace sign is also an interesting one. Some evangelical Christian say it is a broken inverted cross. They believe the symbol is evil and anti-Christian.

Basically you will always find people that are offended by a symbol. They assume it means whatever they mostly relate it to.

the swastika is one of the oldest known symbols. people put manydifferent meanings for symbols over a span of time. not surprising.

Doesn't change the fact the Nazis destroyed everything it once stood for.

It used to not be racist, and then the Nazi's came along and made it racist, atleast in europe and the USA. I'm quite sure that in other country's it still has it's religious meaning.
