I was laying down, and I noticed my monitors were shaking and I was like...wtf?

So my sister runs in and asks if I felt the earthquake just now, and I'm like, oh...so that's what shook my monitors.

Oh yeah i felt that too, this morning, i think it was. I had a rough night so i slept in late.
I just thought my bed was rockin for other reasons

Wish we had more earth quakes in North Carolina...even though we have a active fault line right under us. Ive only felt one, felt so cool.

Ive been in 8.X before a couple of them actually, ive had ones lasting for 58 seconds.

And to be honest, to use the "sex saying" Earthquakes can Rival sex.

The Adrenalin rush you get when your there, knowing that your life can truly hang in the balance. Knowing that there is ABSOLUTELY nothing you can do to stop it, or make it better. and just standing there, watching all this around you actually move. Once you look at it, how WALLS, Houses, Apartments. All these things which are so solid in mind, being tossed around like nothing. You get this moment of being tiny how you are a mere spec to everything around you, especially where ur true place on Earth is.. Its a frightful experience, but somewhat gives u a sense of... calm

I consider myself lucky, ive experienced huge earthquakes. But havent been harmed. And knowing that so many more out there have lost their lives on such a grand scale, for earthquakes which i have experienced or which are of a lower Magnitude... I guess its just the way it is.

Well we all experience Earthquakes on a daily basis, we just dont feel them.

However, a lot of people i know do say that they would love to be in an EQ.

For Example, my Geo teacher. He always wanted to be in a EQ. each time one happens here he is away lol. Drives him nuts, poor guy.

i thought i was in an earthquake twice before, but it always ended up being the damn shuffling on the floor above -.-

Hehe i never felt and earth quake xD

Last EQ I experience was back in May. It's not that strong though. But the thought of everything shaking around you and might fell apart just scares the hell out of me. And it was 3am, I was reading some threads here when it occur. Luckily it only lasted for 5-10sec.
