How did you start.

Just wondering how you people began smoking. Those of you who do.
I know it's unhealthy so please don't tell me however, it's kinda hard to give up, even after 3 years. I take the gum now ='[, and find myself smoking less.
So how did you start? Peer pressure? Attempt at popularity?
I started because my friends all smoked, and I was like wth, so I started.
Experiences please.

started just for a pose...
Was trying to smoke for like 1 month , not just i didnt find it anything good or helping me in some way, i just cant resist this freaking bad taste in my mouth after smoking, so i just gave up,
now am trying to smoke again, and again cant just find anything entertaining in this, so i gave up after 2 days
guess im lucky...

i have a different problem ive never smoked yet at times i have the largest craving for cig for no reason, probably family history (dad used to smoke, grand parents smoked)
so yeah idk

4 years ago I tried it and it was disgusting (like most people's 1st time). Tried it couple more times and 2 weeks later I told my mum and since then I smoke everywhere.

Disgusting habit. Not even going near that shit since i have a history of addiction in my family. Don't even plan on drinking either.

ive always wondered how people start, especially since its so obvious that smoking is going to kill you. I want to smoke but when i think of lung cancer, etc. I dont feel like it

I would rather have my teeth white and my lungs healthy... already got enough shit wrong with me.
Besides once it comes into a serious habit... You start to get the oder... And God is that unbarible to smell of people.

Nope, they get chopped like every weekend. I don't do it, I just get drunk with them, though I have tried it.

First saw a cigarette ad in grade school, for the purpose of teaching us that the ad lures us into buying the product with silly ideas such as "smoking makes you a tough cowboy" but at the time thats all i was thinking. I want to be a cowboy

thats why i didnt find it any cool either, since when this smell is cool :/ not to mention smoking also damages the teeth , so its just a one whole big shit scrolled inside a paper.

well, i started when i friend of mine needed ciggarettes but no one could buy so i tried and succeed.. i got one ciggarett and i smoked and then i started ..

almost everyone in my family smokes/smoked and i seen how **** up the are and i just dont feel like turning into that. beside, have u ever kissed sum1 who smokes? its like making out with a piece of shit

I tried it once, just to see what it was like. Didn't like it and didnt see the point of doing it. Glad I did it though because I will never want to do it again.
