Yes you may have inadvertently downloaded a virus while watching one of their videos. I would run a virus scan and stop watching youtube immediately.

I'm not sure. Youtube can be host to any number of malicious spyware/trojans due to the fact that any user can upload their own file. How long have you been watching youtube videos? I would stop viewing immediately unless you want to reformat your PC anywhere from 5-10 times a month.

why 5-10 times a month? doesnt the virus die after one format?

I would run the virus scan to make sure, but my cousin watches youtube alot and his hard drive got a virus recently. He couldn't even reformat and had to buy a new hard drive ($100). He doesn't watch youtube anymore, that's for sure.

You're fine as long as your virus scan doesn't detect anything malicious, but I would stop watching youtube videos unless you're really looking for a trojan.

People realized you like a terrible, terrible anime. So Youtube punished you.
My channel however, is full of masterpieces that rake in tons of views and also make you shit bricks.

That video could contain one of many malicious spyware/trojans. ranger4life I would put youtube on your firewall block list.

If I were in your shoes, I would unplug my internet, let like 3 scans run at once, go to sleep and delete all the shit it detects, then run it a few more times and take your chances if you want to. Worst case scenario: new hd.

Well this already happened to my cousin. (Virus from youtube.) I don't visit youtube personally because I can't afford a hard drive right now. Watching youtube a risk people take. You probably don't have a virus but you can still get one if you continue watching youtube videos.
