Make a movie about a game?

It seems to be in the works for a few games(halo, zelda) but what game would you make a movie about and what actors would you use to play which parts/characters?
I would make one about the Half Life series
Gordon Freeman: Hugh Laurie/ or maybe Adam Savage
Alyx Vance: Rosario Dawson
G-man: Keanu Reeves
Eli Vance: Morgan Freeman(yes Eli Vance is black
)
Wallace Breen: Jay Ingram
Barney Calhoun: George Clooney...(can't really think of anybody for that guy)
Isaac Kleiner: Alan Arkin
took like 1/2 hour to get this list -_-you?

half life would make a shitty movie imo. half life is an fps and you never get to see yourself so why would they make a movie about an fps if its not gonna be shot in fps. also, gordan never says anything... at all! haha
i would personally like to see a god of war movie or something like that.

iSRO the movie... they take a bunch of Chinese actors, and have them talk in TERRIBLE english grammar.

Chris Morgan (guy who wrote Wanted) is writing Gears of War.
Still have to see a video-game-to-movie adaptation that can be on par with the comic-book-to-movies'. Most of them are crap. A few are decent.

They take awesome games, and make terrible movies -.-
Resident Evil sucks (the movie) and Silent Hill was ok
I'd like to see mario as a movie.Wait....They already did that ...hmm
Zelda OFT could be an awesome movie.

Doom(i wouldn't matter really if shot in fps or no fps)? and the first person shooting scene was great, ok so GoW, good start who would you put in it to play the characters?

Turok (the new one) could be a nice 2nd grade boredom killer imo, sci-fi action with dinosaurs. And I guess Robert Beltran as Turok, he played Chakotay in Star Trek Voyager series.

I know they're making an MGS movie. But idk how in the world they're gonna manage to squeeze that into <2 hours seeing that some cutscenes in MGS themselves go over 2 hours alone.
