anyone live there? they are building the world's tallest tower there too... i doubt any city in us can compare to this....

id love to live there they got 7 star hotels but idk id live in cali cuz they got alot of hot girls there lol

Let's put it this way. They are so rich from oil that they take the most expensive cars they can find, blow them up, then launch them off cliffs. At least that's what they were doing last time I was there... they're probably using airplanes now.

P.S Dubai looks disgusting how all the houses all look the same, and they have restaurants for black people, and restaurants for white people - Screwed up.

who the **** cares though, when you can exploit a race like that you can do anything, its a million times worse than the mexicans in california, but at least they can lock up the indians somewhere.

What have they got to export when their oil drys up, besides sand? A couple of centuries ago, places like Dubai became ghost towns after their resources were spent.

Most of that country is run by foreign citizens. Most European/ US celebrities own a house there of some sort. They dont have any citizens of their own that do any of the work. Half the engineers are German that they paid to go there and build it up.
They have so much money to waste they can make this:

Artificial island for beach houses. Theyre building a 2nd one too along with some other junk.

You'll find loads of tourists, but not of residents. All of UAE (United Arab Emirates) consists of only two million people, half a million are locals. The rest have long term jobs but they probably wont stay there the rest of their lives because if they lose their jobs, its bye bye out of the paradise your useless, just the locals have the right to do so.

@ TOloseGT: A VERY small population of the country is poor, the UAE has a very effective, and unique way of governing the country, theres no democracy. Yep thats right no voting, when the president died (sheik ziad, a really nice person) the next person who came into power was one of his many sons. Money there is great, no taxes, what you see is what you get. Government takes no money from you. And the reason most ppl are rich there because the government has this kind of program they will build your business or workplace and everything for free, but every year you a small percent of the businiess income goes to pay back for construction, loads of ppl are well to do there. really really great country
