Here's a picture of the site (save a lot of explaining):
http://www.lala.com/

Pretty much what it is, its a website for essentially music sharing. You sign up (they don't spam) and you get 50 free web songs. A web song is a song that you can play over and over again in your browser without limit but the catch is that you can't download it. If you want to download it, you have to buy the mp3 which is actually only .89 cents (USD).
An advantage about this site is that you can add the music from your comp. with the lala music mover program, which is really small, lightweight, and you only have to run it if you want to upload your music. So what it does is that it scans a selected folder(s) for music and if it matches the songs that the site itself has and it automatically adds it as a web song. If it doesn't match, it will upload it so that you can play it from your browser.
What's cool about it is that you can listen to all of your music from any browser, from any computer that has internet. It's like having your music library while at work, school, etc in case you forget(or just don't feel like carrying) you mp3 player.
**********Now here's a neat little trick: you can actually download whatever music this site has with Firefox's Download Helper once you have the song playing. So there's no need to actually buy it. It downloads it as an mpeg, i think, so you need to convert it to whatever format you want.
Another neat part about this is that you can make multiple accounts with each getting 50 free web songs, and you can send songs that you get from those accounts to you main account with a feature called "Gift" in which you.. well, give yourself songs as gifts (this also costs 1 web song credit).
If you have any questions or comments, post them up here.
Enjoy!!!
