I'm not sure but when I was studying it before, I started everything from google. Reading some forums. But it didn't end well, I got bored with no proper lessons.

Start by finding a warez/hacking forum. They help, a lot!

Just so you know, hacking is the most misused term in the business world. Hacking someones computer simply means to write a program for it, which is NOT illegal. There are many types of hacking on the otherhand. Unauthorized hacking (what you're thinking of, illegal). There's White hacking (defensive hacking), Black Hacking (offensive hacking), and Hacking for Sport (Defcon, it's a magical thing).

Not really, unless its your profession.
Loads of companies hire hackers to try to infiltrate their security systems, and enhance it.
I'm pretty sure they get paid big bucks.

I have "Hacking Exposed", published by Osborn /McGraw-Hill by Stuart McClure & Joel Scambray (InfoWorld) and George Kurtz (Black Hat speaker) on my bookshelf. Very good for fundamental understanding but outdated for practical put-it-to-use for today. My emphasis was network security under Novel and Microsoft Servers back then.
There was a site that I liked, several in fact, but I doubt it's still around. Too much censorship these days. Public safety and all that. Google for "Hacker Training" -- it's been too long for me and nobody's paying me to do it anymore so...

c programming very hard. easy to make mistakes.
you might want to start with something like python.
and it will be very long before you start dissecting coding (patches) in search of exploits. (you can always just cut through it and become a script kiddie

)

It's because we're tired of listening to the know-it-all.
This IS the internet. There are things like Google and Wikipedia.

tbh, Puppet's posts are always something that I take time to read. He has a bunch of great information to share that I didn't know about. Sure, I could go and google it up. But I don't want to read through ten pages of random shit just to get a basic summary.

Yet you continue to read Granpa's posts, which are 10 times longer, and confuse 90% of the people on this forum. Seriously, I take the time to read EVERYONE'S posts, even the one's a know are just retarded answers that weren't thought out. People ask questions on a forum, or make a response, and you expect me to sit back and say "well, I know the answer, but I'll just sit here and say nothing while they sit there uninformed." NO, BULLSH*T, 100% PURE COLUMBIAN BULLSHIT! I'm so tired of the lazy philosophy of people on this forum. Learn from others.
It may seem that I'm a know it all. I completely understand that sentiment. In fact, I am not a know it all. I am constantly asking questions. I ask at least 200 questions a day in real life. It is these questions I ask that get me the answers that allow me to make these "know-it-all" posts.
I guess it would be prefered that I joined the crowd that just posts fun forum "games" and mindless nonsense. I guess I should just sit back, post in the "1001 Way To Die" and "Post the Job of the Person Above You" threads, and act like I know absolutely nothing. Yes, that is exactly what the internet was designed for anyway right?

That is NOT what I'm saying. I'm saying the threads have no intellectual meaning. If you REALLY think they do, then... how to say this without sounding like an ass... uhhh.... uhhh.... you need to examine the threads closer.
Please read my arguement more carefully, and you'll notice it's not attacking anyone.
Edit: I noticed a statement that could have been an attack, and fixed it.
